Transposer isn't still working with Carrara 7.2 .I resetted the download and installed TransPoser 2 for Carrara 7 into my D:\ DAZ\Carrara 7 pro \ folder. In the Transposer dialog I gave the path to the poser 6 exe which is :F:\Poser 6 \ poser.exe. Carrara opens an empty scene. When I reopen carrara the path I gave isn't stored .Transposer returns to the pregiven C:\programm files... path .It use to work with C7.0 so I don't know if this is a Vista or a 64bit issue. Any ideas ?

Hi Masterstroke.
Transposer really isn't necessary anymore unless you're bringing in dynamic cloth.
Carrara 6 and higher handles poser figures and sets internally now.
So if you import the runtime folder into Carrara's browser you can just drag and drop poser figures, poses, and props directly into your Carrara Scene.
I'f you're using Dynamic cloth then I think a few people here have figured out work arounds.
Hopefully they'll chime in and let you know.
If you're not sure how to set up the runtime I mention it briefly in my IK and NLA tutorial in my signature. I point out where you can add the runtime and demonstrate using the browser.

I expect Transposer is still broken for rendernodes as well.. and I am using Dynamic Cloth. Oh well, I'll keep using Carrara 6 Pro for my final renders for now.

Ah, bummer.
I was hoping you were one of the people who had gotten it to work.
I saw your issues with the nodes and figured you fixed it.

I just tried this, and had no problems. Transposer worked fine.
The obvious differences I can see are:
- It was already working in C7.1, so I didn't need to re-enter the path
- My copy of Poser 6 is in the "standard" location. C:\Program Files (X86)\...
- I'm running XP x64, not Vista, on the PC concerned.
So it you're hitting a bug, my guess is that it would be related to one of these factors.

Nope, I openned a bug on it.. but for my render farm I've gone back to Carrara 6 Pro.. for which Transposer works perfectly. I don't have time right now to troubleshoot Carrara 7.2 rendernodes.

Poser 6 and earlier don't like Vista. Either 32 bit or 64 bit. (It is a known issue that used to be all over the CP forums when they had forums.)
Since you are using Vista you must install both Poser and Carrara as Admin, not as a user with admin rights, but as Admin. If you did that then the answer is Vista is the issue. Transposer works just fine here. (And I just used it to import an animation just to make sure.)
One other point. Poser 6 is not LAA capable and when using Transposer you are limited to Poser's limitations. (2 Gigs of RAM, Poser 6's Memory handling, etc.)
Transposer is obsolete and has been since Carrara 6 was launched. The only real reason for Transposer is for legacy scenes. It offers very little for all the issues you get when you use Transposer.
