At what point is the contact system failing? I can get to the page for entering a request, at least.

I've used the contact form before posting to this forum, and so far, haven't had a reply. I mean, the issue is resolved, I know what happens, and I don't expect anyone to take any action - but it would be useful if I'd had the 'we got your e-mail' reply, or a real, live answer from one of the team. This way, I don't know whether my mail has dropped into a black hole or not.

Well, I don't know what happend in reality, I before could enter without problem, and now tells me that the page is in maintenance, I tried to enter with explorer and with firefox, the first appears an error 500 (in maintenance or programming error), and in firefox gives me the page in white when enters to the link.

Since I'm NOT a PC member it should be applying the coupon to the regular $9.95 price and it isn't!
Idea

Did you go and claim the voucher first? It would be in your main account window at the bottom of the screen.
Yeah I did but apparently since it's a PC Item available for $1.99 I couldn't apply the $5 voucher on the $9.95 price as a non-pc member so DAZ lost a sale that would have made them more than the PC Price. No skin off my back. Rolling Eyes

The same thing happened to me. I did contact Sales Support. My order contained more than just $1,99 items but some of the Sales Support employees seem to forget to teally look at what an order consisted of.

Here is the reply:

Helga,

I have looked into your order and see that you tried to apply your Cinco De Mayo voucher to $1.99 items. This is only good for DAZ Original items as it states on the forums as well as in the newsletter. As for your monthly voucher. These are automatically applied to orders. We actually have a great answer to this in our Knowledge Base. You can get to our Knowledge Base by going to our 'Support' section under 'FAQ's', or by following this link "http://daz.custhelp.com". I have included a link to the answer pertinent to your question below this message. Remember the Knowledge Base is always a great place to quickly and easily " Find An Answer to Your Question" should you have one.

Answer Title: Why isn't my voucher applying to the full amount of my order?
Answer Link: http://daz.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/daz.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=76&p_created=1199648814

1. Now, the Announcement by Brian said the following: "Save money on the product you've wanted". No mention on any restrictions except for the $1,99.

2. If the Voucher doesn't apply to certain items DAZ needs to reject the Voucher and not give the lovely message "cincodemayo08 has been accepted" and then take my monthly Voucher instead. I too got the message "Voucher was already used" when I tried to purchase another item.

3. I have reopened the issue with Sales Support and I will not give up until DAZ can explain to me what they did with the Voucher they accepted and then withheld from me.

4. I have used many of these special Vouchers before and never had a problem with it.

5. When I used the Voucher I saw only Thank you DAZ in the Forum. I hope Brooke finds the time to review my purchases of this day in more detail.

6. Neither the Fairie Dragon nor Liquid Rust's Halena are $1,99 items.

Edited for seceral mistakes, including spelling!

Could it be that your security software is blocking the site?

I am not sure, I could enter in other sites without problem, and send emails without problem, perhaps if reset my cookies or my private data of my explorer, I perhaps succeeded in entering.

Wait, yes, you are right, it´s the security of the server. How could I do in order to request my refund? Is there another form, some email?

Check your own firewall or other security software isn't blocking the site, if it isn't check with your ISP in case the blockage is in the main network. Edit, OK - is that something you can control, as far as I'm aware there's no reason to block the site.

yep, I just went to use mine too, for some reason I thought it was good until the 13th so held off until had a few things to purchase.

Ah well, my fault for not double checking the date, or rather relying on my bad memory Wink

OK.. I've gotten part of my voucher back as a coupon that has no expiry which is good but this is the reply that I got from Daz

Response (Brooke Smith) - 05/09/2008 12:25 PM
Kathryn, All of our vouchers apply 100% to DAZ Originals, 50% to Broker Artist Items, and 0% to Reseller items. You will be able to see this in our FAQ's. Because this coupon was a voucher and you had purchased a Broker Artist item, this is why only 50% of the voucher was able to be used for this particular order. The other part of your voucher is put back into your DAZ Account so you can use that towards another order if you wish. Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Aaahhhh... WRONG!! They put the 50% of the voucher back to me as a coupon to replace the 50% that should have been subtracted from my order. The other 50% was not available to me to be used. I was told the voucher was already used when indeed it wasn't and by the time they got back to me the voucher was expired and I couldn't access it.

The amount of the 50% is only $2.50 which is chunk change and that is not the point. You would think that customer satifaction would be worth more to them than a measley two bucks and fifty cents wouldn't you? Besides, there are no items that I would be interested in that are less than $8.00 so they would be getting something out of me above and beyond the piddly little coupon.

I guess I shouldn't get bent all out of shape for the small amount that I'm out but I have to really stretch my money to be able to buy anything and the fact that I thought I could get something fairly nice for a reasonable price was pretty short lived.
