Oh! Wow thank you for your fast reply!
I will try that right away!
Genesis 3 UVs for Genesis will be released in a short while.
The final hurrah (probably!) of my UV conversions has two sets of UVs (Genesis 3 Female and Genesis 3 Male) for use on the original Genesis mesh. This means that Genesis 8 textures can also be used on Genesis.
The geografts, as with the recent Genesis 8 series, are now loaded as a multi-piece unit along with an additional Eye Moisture attachement which facilitates the use of Genesis 3 (and Genesis 8) EyeMoisture materials (because Genesis itself does not have an EyeReflection or EyeMoisture surface). You will also be able to load the Eye Moisture attachement as a standalone if you want to combine G3/G8 Eye Moisture textures with Genesis textures.
Very nice! I do appreciate being able to apply skins up and down the generation gap.
Agreed! There are a bunch of character shapoes unique to Genesis that it will be awesome to use with G3 skins without having to covert the entire shape via GenX. This will be a quick buy. :) That said, I'd hate to see this be the last in your legacy sets, as there are a few skin conversions that I wouldn't mind seeing, like something for Star and Aiko 3 skins to G3F so they can be used with Sakura 8.
Arrgghhh!!
I thought Aiko 3 used the Victoria 3 UVs. There were tales (somewhere) of the V3 Legacy UVs set being used quite successfully with Aiko 3 skins - but I can't find a link to them at the moment.
Aiko 3 (and Hiro 3) had extra surfaces so mat poses won't work, but they do use broadly the same mapping as the rest of the 3rd generation figures - there were subtle differences between them (in the eyebrows certainly, possibly in nipple placement) as I recall.
Thank you, Richard. It is Aiko 4 that has identical UVs to Victoria 4. I shall buy the Aiko 3 Pro Bundle and investigate further.
Actually, I mistyped G3f for G8f, since I want to be able to use the A3 and Star skins on Sakura 8. That said, I'd still buy a dedicated A3 to G3F setup due to the reasons others have since stated.
Don't you mean 3rd generation figures?
Indeed, I will fix that. Thanks.

Ooo... I hadn't snapped to the fact that you even added a geograft for the eyes to give Genesis the eye surface it never had. Way cool! I haven't bought the product yet, but if other generations UVs be used on the eye graft as well, that makes this product even sweeter.
Yeah!!!
Great, it's an instant buy!
I have successfully used Cayman's V3 UVs for G3F to apply any generation 3 skin to Genesis 3, including A3, plus male skins like those for M3. All generation 3 skins use the same UVs.
Once again thank you for a great addition to great line of products.
And.......truly a great investment.!!!
Between your product and Gen X a lot of older "people" are getting a new life
My thanks
Further .
Have been using constantly for two days.....one of your best!!!!!
Thank you, bicc! Much appreciated.
Can we have genesis 8 Sakura skin+eyes in Genesis? Could anyone check if Sakura eyes work in Genesis with this?
If not, please Cayman do it work :D
Sakura has additional geometry and surfaces which are not on other Genesis 3/8 figures (eyes, brows and lashes). So, unfortunately, this will not work fully with Sakura textures. I would need to create new pieces of bespoke geometry just to match Sakura's. At this point in time I do not plan on doing so.
Hi ! I have purchased Genesis 3 UVs for Genesis but I have problem about using it. Try many times without success.
I can do step 1 to prepare Genesis 3 UV with Michael 5 or David 5, but step 2 to apply MIchael 7 texture is not success.
it response as "error openning file , AN error occured while reading the file, see the log file for more details" when I see the log file.it includes

Could you please advise the solution ?
Thanks for help
Tony
The sRGB profile warnings are harmless and can be ignored.
The invalid hiearchy message indicates that the preset you used is a Hierarchical Preset - it affects both the figure and one or more items parented to the figure (I'd guess the base and the Anatomical Elements). If there's a preset that applies only the base skin tot he figure then use that, otherwise you will need to apply the preset to Michael 7 and then save a regular materials Preset (File>Save As>Materials preset) which should apply correctly to Genesis and to the GeoGrafts.
Thank you very much Richard, refer to your advice, now I can successfully apply M7 skin to Genesis.
Thanks again,
Tony
Okay, I'm way behind the curve here. My primary figure is still Genesis 1. But I've got a project where I want to use George's morph, with an M4 texture. I've got the Legcy UVs for G3. So I applied them and got the texture into place on the figure. It looks all right. But then I tried a spot render, and everything went haywire.
This is 3Dlight, no additional lights, just the viewport in Texture shaded mode and the worklights. Is this what I am *supposed* to be seeing prior to rendering? (Viewport appearance, then spot render)
Studio 4.10.0.107
JOdel, this looks like a shader issue. Sometimes, if you apply a series of different MATs to the main mesh and the geografts separately, the shaders stop applying uniformly. Normally this isn't noticeable because it is unusual for two separate sets of geometries to co-exist in this way.
The simplest way to rectify this is to delete the geografts from the scene, select Genesis 3, then run the Prepare script again to neutralise the surfaces, and then reapply the textures.
Okay, that's certainly doable. I was mildly surprised t discover that I had to apply the M4 textures manually, rather than just clicking on them after applying the UVs to the geografts, but I didn't go back and reread the documentation since i'd dne that when I first got it.
