I do not have no brow so what would happen if I try to blend two textures with two different eyebrows
If the brows are very different you would see both brows to the degree of the blend.
I sincerely hope you win the lottery. Because you are awesome.
In setting this up, I want to use Brow Remover to NoBrow the figure, but Skin Blender wants the actual resource files to blend -- can I select .DLI files for those? Will Brow Remover simply work? I tried once and it seemed to multiply rather than blend the face's skin tone afterward. What's the best thing to do?
When you use Brow Remover save the new browless texture as a Material Preset, this is an option of Brow Remover.
Then select that new Material Preset for the (OPTIONAL) Face and/or Torso/Hip Preset(s) -> Face Material Preset.
Awesome. Thank you very much!
And did a test render. For the record FSWA Indigo HD body and head, shaped slightly on the head, with Mei Lin 7 and Esme 7 blended at 50% after both had their brows removed. Applied Wow Brow and makeup from Instant Makeup. To make the Material Presets I loaded each skin onto the same body and saved them out.
(I picked things to up the odds -- very different skin tone, on a shape neither was optimized for. I will likely redo the brow more for picking the wrong brow than any problems. This came out brilliantly blend wise.)
Great render. Thanks for posting.
That's a really cool idea! Congratulations Draagonstorm for this nice product !
Ok I bought this, sorry if the answer is obvious and I'm just missing it there, how do you add makeup ?
If you have Instant Makeup for Genesis 3 Female and your Blending on a Genesis 3 Figure, then with the base Genesis 3 select use Instant Makeup for Genesis 3 Female which will apply the makeup on both the figure and the geoshell.
Any other figure you would need to add the same makeup with photoshop or gimp to both textures sets and create new material presets for those.
Ok, thanks for the response I guess I'll be getting the instant makeup sooner :)
Ok, I feel pretty stupid, but where do I find the material preset files for base and blend in step 3? What file format are they? The file format appears to be png and when I look in runtimes/textures for a skin I want to blend, there are multiple png files for various body parts, but not the complete figure. Is the material preset the duf file used to load a skin under materials or do I need to somehow create a png file myself that has the complete textures for all the body parts?
Any help would be appreciated.
The browser shows the png thumbnails so that you can see what you are picking, but it's actually the associated presets - the ones you would apply through the content pane to get the unblended settings - that it will use. You should be looking in - typically - \People\Genesis whichever\Character for these.

Cross posting some tests with Anagenesis 2 product and Skin Blender to both PA threads. I did a test using the Anagenesis 2 on an old Genesis character I made to see how it looked. See first render, on the left. Looked okay but the skin was a little too clean, I don't imagine Lincoln would have such smooth and unblemished skin. Then I recalled i had bought Skin Blender too and decided to take a really gnarly skin (Gladiator for M4) and blend that in about 35%. See render on the right That added a lot of the missing character. I think I need to tweak settings some more because it's a bit dark but this Skin Blender product (and Brow Remover) have really opened up lots of possibilities for old skins now. Cool!
That looks great, grinch! I have used Anagenessis shaders a lot since they came out, but have not had a chance to use them with Skin Blender yet. Glad to know both can be used together.
Thanks Richard, got this one figured out with your help!
Mr. Haseltine, a bit late, but thank you.
The information you supplied was missing from the product ( would imagine the author was depending on divine intervention)
Took awhile and your suggestions but it works, perhaps you could consult with the PA before product releases.
As I have mentioned before, owe you for all your help, now and in the past
I am so glad I got this so I can make some mixed race characters. If I assume I got this correct, can I use this on Genesis 3 Male?
Miss Bad Wolf, the PA is in a very bad way after strokes, and is expected not to survive the day. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/134596/draagonstorm#latest
As for using it on Genesis 3, yes, it can be used on all generations, since it uses Geoshells.
I found out that she did not make it. When I posted that I did not know but now I do know and I feel sad.
Yes, this is very sad. I also wondered why she didn't reply, as she usually is very fast with her replies. And then, such sad news.
She always was very helpful, and made great and useful products.
How does this even work? No matter what I do the script keeps telling me the material I selected is not a valid preset... I mean I don't have any png's to click on other than the icon png's that show up in content library and I obviously can't use a duf. So wtf am I supposed to even be doing? What am I supposed to be clicking on? The help file isn't very helpful.
The icon pngs are what you ar emeant to click on, then the script will load the associated .duf file - that's so that the file browser will show a useful image, not just the generic DS icon.
Here's a quick and dirty step by step:
I want to use Bonnie as my base, and Draupadi Skin as blend in skin. Both are for G3F.
First, I load my Bonnie character.
Second, I check out where her skin material preset is located.
I open the info tab for the preset by clicking on it and opening the info box.
Here, it tells me exactly where the preset is stored, and where I have to look for the png. For example, for the Annelies skin, I have to go to my DAZ content folder, and there to People/Genesis 3/Female/Characters/Annelies/Mats where her Iray materials are stored.
The Bonnie skin can equally be found. I start the script by double clicking !Skin Blender Apply!.
For base layer, I click on "Full Material Preset", and then navigate to the folder where my Bonnie skin is located:
Then I do the same for my blend layer, which is Draupi skin:
Both presets are loaded, and I can adjust the blend level with the slider. If I don't like the result, I hit undo, and then make changes, and apply again, until I get the result I want.
On occasion, you get an error, when the preset is not compatible with the skript for whatever reasons:
Here, I try to load Makemba skin:
It tells me that it's not a valid option. It's possible that the preset I selcted was a shortcut to the real skin preset, but that is just a wild guess.
So I go searching for the material preset folder for Makemba.
It allows me to load the material from there, without a problem. Sometimes, you'll have to dig a bit in the material folders to find something that works. For example, using 02 Makup on the head materials from the folder above did not work, but I had to dive down further into the Makeup folder of Makemba to find the proper material setting.
