    Thanks everyone!

@spottedkitty: there will be more... plenty more. I'm currently working on an armory and a torture chamber

For those on the fence about the bundle. look closely.  Props are included!  Over 125 props between the 3 rooms

  • AWESOME !

It was an instant buy this morning, and eventhough I've only begun playing with it I can tell it's even more stunning than I thought. A true masterpiece, and a real work of art.

    Un immense bravo !

    Merci David :)

@Ice dragon art: Yes props are included in the presets... Almost 100 just for the kitchen :) Not all props included are shown in the promos

I forgot to add.... For everything fabric, look in your texture folder, there are about 10 different options...Various shades of blue, green red gold etc...

Got the kit (downloading now) - had to wishlist the rest.  Looking forward to seeing the armoury and torture chambers too.

I have a question: is the Step Up Corner correct? It looks to be the same as the regular Step Up - and with the Step Down they are different...

Hi Nath :) Yes they are different. Step up corner is just a width shorter. If you have the great hall you can see how to arrange both of them to create a two step elevation. (the readme included with the basic Kit also shows you how to do it)

    Thanks - I couldn't figure it out:)

Currently playing with making corridors, but steps will be next I think.

I saw the render you posted in (Ithink) Novica's thread. Looks great! :)

Thanks:)  I'll eventually get beyond playing with the set and put some people in it, but just the building is already a lot of fun, and ancient heaps of stone are clearly my aesthetic, as the kids say these days;-)

This is really a great set. Luckily it's easter now, so I have the time to play with it and add a view people to the hall.

When I saw the great hall, I immediately thought, that it would be a great church too. May I suggest a church addon? With colored glass windows, an altair, chalice, benches, crosses, pictures/statues of angels and saints and so on?

    Great idea!

    Hi,

I bought today only MICK Bedroom, but after loading I have an error message like the attached screen. Can you please help me?

    Thank you and happy easter.

Hi AD. The presets require MICK to work. MICK provides the basic architectural pieces ( like walls windows etc) while the presets puts all the architectural pieces in place and add a bunch of props. You need MICK to load the bedroom properly.

I really love this set and the presets. After reading the readme (which is really great BTW) I see that I can plug up light leaks with pillars in some places and that worked great on a corner. I couldn't figure out how to fix light leaks made by the recessed windows when sunlight is coming directly through them from some angles, like the one on the left. I tried moving the windows inward but that made it worse.

You could try placing a couple of Cube promitives, suitably sized and intersecting to make a solid L, around the join on the outside.

Another thing you can try is unhide the regular parameters and adjust the scale just a bit.

    Thanks, Richard and Faveral.

Some cubes worked great on a similar problem with a vaulted ceiling by a window and wall.

The problem I am having with Window Hi5 seems to be leakage in the structure of the window and I can't fix it. Other windows work OK. This is from Preset 1.

This is strange...I'm not getting this at all on my end... Can I ask you which lighting you are using, are you using the render settings from the preset or did you add other lights? I'd like to be able to reproduce this to see what the problem is...

Only had time for a quick play but I'm loving it.  The Snap- controls make it really quick and easy to put together :)

    @silentwinter : I'm glad you're having fun with it :)

@luci45: This is what I get on the same shot you made, on my end.

I used the same 'sun-sky only' in the preset but rotated dome to 252 degrees. But there is a whole range where I get that same result. So weird it doesn't do that for you. The exposure value is 9, which is where I think you had the preset.

Edit: Preset 1 doesn't have render presets (or mine doesn't.) I loaded Preset 3, cleared the scene and then loaded Preset 1. So I used that render setting.  I rotated the dome to 252 but I can see the light leaks faintly even at 0.

Edit #2: I don't have the same problem with the same HI5 windows on the opposite side of the building even when I rotate the dome. Strange.

So I can't use this bedroom without the other parts out of the MICK bundle? Why then can you buy these parts separately if they only work together? That's rubbish!

You don't need the whole bundle. But you need MICK. https://www.daz3d.com/mick-medieval-interior-construction-kit Like I said, MICK contains all the walls, windows, fireplaces etc... Everything that is purely architectural. This set is required for every preset in the bundle. Presets use MICK to create the building, then add a bunch of props. Again, you don't need to buy the whole bundle, but for any preset, kitchen bedroom or great hall, you need to have MICK
