I don't THINK you can do it directly, but you could paint two layers, then export one and then the other, put one in Diffuse and the other in Translucency color. I should try that with the slimebeast... heh.
And the teeth/claws thing, I haven't done it YET, but totally.
And here's another tweak of Exile... using GenX2 to make Exile female.
I like her Exile should be doing pretty well great looking alien many have been wanting and you Tim showing makes a great female here too that other charcter looks interesting too. Looking forward to seeing if you can pull off the skin and teeth probably wont be able to substance myself but I am interested to see if it can be done then maybe if it works can work out another way of replicating it other than in post painting unless like if say you could duplicate and parent two versions of a charcter bottom one being a different texture and colour slightly and top layered one being sort of transparent and slightly larger probably take a lot of fiddling to get the opacity and sizes right though and some parts on both made invisible inside daz which is sort of what you just said slimey would look cool done like that like the blob or singers of chzor think you have that from memory or back on Exile bit of transparency on his or her :) head showing the brain and maybe other orgons on different parts of the body which brings up another question for Josh any thoughts of doing addons for your charcters?
It comes down to the varying definition of 'seams'. There's the seam where the map is split but the mesh on both sides is the same surface. SP2 is fine painting across that.
SP2 just will not paint from one material to the next. You need to either be very careful painting on one and then the other side, or rely on procedural stuff (which is what I've been doing).
Gotcha; painting across the seams of the same UV map works (like on the torso), but not from one part to another (from face to torso).
So been poking around at 3DL a bit, and brought out Exile again...
Trying to look at ways to speed up renders, and one thing is that SSS sucks up a lot of time, so trying to stick to translucency and similar. (Although, to be fair, should probably do the same with Iray by comparison)
