Wow, thanks so much for the compliment! No special lighting, just 3-4 spotlights, rectangle shape and around 50 x 50 size to soften up shadows a bit. All full white 6500k to not mess with the skin tone.

  •  thank you Bluejaunte! She really  looks amazing! She looks so alive in her pics, just awsome realism! I will be awiting your next character to add to my library.... so hurry up and get started!smiley

Bought the character last night. She is gorgeous! Wonderful face, body, and I am extremely impressed with the detail and naturalness of her feet. Nice work! Hope to see more characters from you in the near future!

Really is an amazing piece of work, I get really tired of all the generic "females", this one has real personality. Got it the minute it came out.

Thanks! Glad you feel this way, this is a pledge I can make for future characters. I will always strive to make them unique. Obviously this is more work but I hope people will appreciate the effort.

  • Purchased. Love the skin texture, great work.

Have been looking at her since this thread started. Thought I didn't need another girl, but kept coming back. Finally decided I had room and I'm glad I did. Definitely something arresting about her. Here are a couple of quick renders.

Those are gorgeous renders. You really brought the character to life! The detail of her hands is pretty amazing!

If you're talking about mine, thank you.

I was really pleased with the results, especially since I almost passed her up. I didn't do any real tweaking with anything in these. Used her standard pale skin and makeup. I almost always use custom eyes but didn't in this case. The hair is E&J's Sherry with their Iray shaders, the outfit is Alloy Fusion with one of the included shaders. Lighting is Render Studio>Pro HDRI.

If you want to check the detail, there's a 4000x6000 here: https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/377966/

Bluejaunte did a fabulous job with this figure.

I really think this character renders so nicely - if I buy, I hope I can get her skin to render as you have done. On the down-side, the hair kinda spoils the realism - not your problem though, just that sometimes ribbon based hair looks like ribbon based hair.

@marble  "On the down-side, the hair kinda spoils the realism"

Agreed. I think hair is the biggest remaining challenge. Eyes are much better, skins are much better. The hai textures can be improved with post work, although my gallery renders rarely have any post, but getting the hair to lie realistically is usually frustrating. Even the best of the PA's rarely have enough/fine enough bones or morphs. It is also possible that I just don't understand collision enough.

She instantly became one of my favorite females.

I look forward to a G8 version of her someday.

Thanks guys! Yeah hair is a problem for realism. As for Yara on G8, I'm not aware of a method to transfer HD morphs even for PAs. All the rest can be transferred, various threads here show how to do it. Skin works mostly out of the box, eyes aren't going to line up perfectly anymore though. Overall I'd probably just keep using her on G3 where she belongs. I am however working on a new G8 character.

Looking forward to that. As I said, there's something fascinating/different about Yara that I can't put my finger on. I think it's something magical between the face shaping and the skin but can't quite define it.

There isn't a huge number of pink undertone skins out there. She's fantastic!

  • I'm having issues with rendering Yara using the "Saturated" skin setting. I have consistently gotten these lines and I am admittedly not terribly experienced, but I cant find any posts anywhere that have a solution for this using iRay.
