    crying

I really have no business buying anything medieval... but I want the entire series so bad!

The Banquet Hall looks wonderful. As Ice Dragon Art said... "Wow...!"

Absolutely splendid, Luc.  I will look forward to its arrival.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    Oh my.

Quite lovely. Will be watching for it.

    Great work :)

I've not invested in MICK yet since I still use 3Delight mainly and have felt too lazy to adjust so many materials myself so far ;) but I'll probably end up getting the whole series at some point.

Sigh.  The Insta-buy anything from Faveral looks like it will continue smiley  It is good that you don't post a new item everyday as my wallet couldn't handle it. laugh  This looks amazing as usual.

  • Absolutely fabulous!

Looks great - I've got the base MICK, and it's really useful for making all kinds of interiors (as the name would suggest laugh )

All that food is making me hungry wink

Wow!  I love it!  Does it require the other mick products?

It requires the base MICK product but not the other add ons (kitchen, bedroom etc)

  • Big cheers for Faveral, once more ! Brilliant work, and the before/after the party theme is a great idea.

Since I never have enough of beautiful realistic medieval scenes, three questions for the artist :

    - do you plan on releasing an add-on of your Scriptorium set, in MICK mode ?

    - will you do in MICK any chapel or church ?

    - and finally, do you plan to stick to romanesque architecture, or will MICK to include some gothic period (ogive windows with mullion would especially be most welcome !) ?

    Hi David,

Thank you for your nice comment! :)

The scriptorium and the wine cellar are actually what prompted me to create MICK, since they're both very close architecturally. I even thought of creating the MICK tool just for myself to make interior creation faster.

Your two other questions kind of blend in for me.... To me a church interior is more impressive in a gothic style than in a romanesque style. So yes, there will be a gothic style MICK, and there will also be a Tudor style one as well. I need to figure out a way to make exteriors that work in a similar way too... Only problem is to make roofs follow walls in any given configuration.

  • Wow ! If I wasn' supposed to show my son patience is a virtue, I would be hopping up and down with impatience.

Still.... GOTHIC MICK ! TUDOR STYLE ! EXTERIOR !  When ? When ? WHEN ? WHEN ? I'll be reasonable and patient, so.... next week ? :-)

Since your Medieval Construction Site and St Michael's Gate are beautiful starting points for anything gothic, I'll say half the work is already done and it will be coming soon ! Please ?

Right at the top of next week's shopping list. I'd buy anything you do as long as it's from a historical period.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I have it on my hd waiting to install, but I can't until tomorrow (transferring my runtime to a new, larger disk and copying the whole thing to backup)

Have to agree that it looks great again:)

  • I grabbed MICK while it was on sale and just have to ask, what's coming next?

I'm taking a "quick" break from MICK. The next set is a medieval village which I've been working on for weeks and almost lost today due to lack of RAM. It's big and getting bigger. Next MICK project is still a debate... I can do public medieval baths with the current MICK or create different styles MICKs

Village? My credit card is already hiding in fear...

I'd be happy with either the baths or different styles, so umm, both?

As long as it isn't The Village, it'll be going straight into my cart.

It's inspired by the village of Yvoire on thr French Swiss border. Very beautiful village!

    Luc,

I can't wait to get my hands on it.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    Lol I agree, both.

  • alexhcowleyalexhcowley Posts: 2,386

I've tracked down the town's official website:

    http://www.yvoire-france.com/

There's plenty to marvel at, the garden of five senses alone would make a fantastic set.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  • Given how beautiful is your Alsace/Kaysersberg set, I think Yvoire will be great. Will you do the five senses garden ?

For MICK, and as much as the bath would be nice, gothic MICK definitely has my favor !

Looking forward to your Ivoire village - I loved that place (on holiday nearby). Can I vote for the "different styles" MICK too please!

This is kind of what the Yvoire set will look like. Plenty more of details to add...

Oh my gosh I could live there...

  • FaveralFaveral Posts: 415

It's a very pretty little town. I visited it years ago. Of course it's a bit more modern than this rendition, but I'm trying to keep it "era neutral" so that with a few added props it can be either modern or medieval.

This is absolutely beautiful.  I'd be interested to know how long it takes to create a set like this.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Take a look at Tango Alpha's country ford.  It has several British road signs and other props that date it but they are very easy to remove so you can then easily use it for fantasy renders.

    Cheers,

    Alex.
