No, cross-generation blending doesn't occur. Pose Blender is for within-generation blending. But it will work for anything with bones so you can blend 2 Dragon Poses as well as 2 GenesisX figures.
I apologize for the difficulty you are having and completely understand about the refund.
Thanks, RiverSoft Art,
I won't be able to try your suggestions until this evening, but I'll give it a go.
On the other thing, I don't use dim. I install everything manually. As mentioned though, I do have Bone Doctor, and that script opens and works just fine, from the same install process and locations. I can check for an update on it.
Looking forward.
On the anything-with-bones thing, the script looks very useful as is, even if only within the same generation. I have several intergenerational converters, already, and blending, in that scenario, could be a whole 'nother level of fun. I just misinterpreted what the promo says.
Posing is probably my least favorite, most neglected critical aspect of scene creation, and I definitely tend to settle for something canned, and build the rest of my conception around whatever that pose suggests and offers.
To get more deliberate about a pose in the first place, manually, is mostly more time & work than I have been wanting to invest.
That's why your pose products attracted my attention in the first place, so I hope I can get Bone Blender to go.
Ok, I followed the steps, and took screen shots.
1. Nothing in DIM to update
2. Loaded G3M...loaded the 1st pose
3. loaded the 2nd pose
4. immediately double clicked the pose Blender script...got an error. (I tried both scripts just in case. Error on both.)
5. error log file screen cap
So..while I was waiting to get the problems with Pose Blender sorted out, I figured I may as well play with Pose Randomizer. I got both at the same time last evening. You guessed it. I loaded a figure, added a pose, tried to randomize and got an error!!
I should probably put a post about that in the Randomizer thread...
/sigh

Ok, I am sorry about that. I will send you a PM. We will solve this.
FWIW, I'm not having any problems. The instructions in the script window are clear. Win 7 64bit. Studio 4.9.4.122
Tried two figures, one figure with two poses, two figures with "selected node".
What I thought was interesting is that one can just keep loading poses and essentially blend multiple poses (like Randomizer but a bit more fiddly I imagine).
Thanks for the extra info. The errors they are seeing are from a bad install, not the software failing I believe.
It was designed that way. I actually went through multiple iterations of the interface until I found what I felt was the best way to keep kitbashing poses. It is pretty easy I think to keep stacking pose after pose on top of the first to kitbash them all together. (I don't know what you mean by "like Randomizer but a bit more fiddly I imagine" though)
@RiverSoft Art "(I don't know what you mean by "like Randomizer but a bit more fiddly I imagine" though)"
Because I was having fun randomly picking poses then randomly moving the slider and/or randomly picking a joint then moving the slider. I didn't have any particular result in mind was just seeing what I could get.
Ah! Now I understand. I do that a lot too. You can really find some cool poses fast. Not necessarily ones you need right now, but cool nonetheless
@RiverSoft Art " You can really find some cool poses fast. Not necessarily ones you need right now, but cool nonetheless "
Then you just need to remember to save them as pose presets.
I've tried everything and the script will still not load.

Sorry about the trouble. I just PM'd you.
Good news... I upgraded to version 4.9.4.122 and the script runs OK now. No more error messages. I was running 4.9.4.113.
Oh that is great news!
What version of Daz Studio did you encrypt your script with? Anyone with an earlier version will not be able to run the script. I didn't see the required DS version in the script documentation or product page.
Does it means that the script does not work properly with Daz Studio 4.9.4.117?
Many people seems to have problems with 4.9.4.122 and I do not want to upgrade to it at the moment.
I cannot remember what version I encrypted the scripts with. As of yesterday, I had 4.9.4.117 (I upgraded to 122 yesterday to see if 117 had trouble encrypting scripts properly). So no more than that. Libra had 4.9.4.113 and another user having problems had 4.9.4.115 (upgrading to 122 fixed his issue too). My understanding was that encryption was compatible all the way back to 4.9.3.166. It is very confusing as I upgraded Pose Randomizer and Eye Clock around the same time (late July, to share the same versions of the common files). I haven't seen any complaints about those. I was working with the other user extensively, and none of the products were working: Eye Clock, Pose Randomizer, or Pose Blender. I *think* it is more that the CMS gets corrupted on their machines and upgrading clears it up.
What Daz Studio versions are people running? And what RiverSoftArt products do you have and do they still work?
I've used Bone Doctor, Eye Clock, Pose Blender, and Dragon Master Pose Control on the most recent update, general release 4.9.4.122. My operating system is Windows 10.
I haven't updated Daz Studio to the lasted version on my Mac yet, but intend to late this week. I will test the products on my Mac at that time.

One thing I'm not liking about this script is the inability to rotate the camera, or perform other actions, after the script is applied without getting an error message 'Last pose and curent pose are equal. Apply first pose. Immediately apply second different pose. Then, execute this action.' I constanly make adjustments to the character and scene and would still like the ability to blend the poses afterward.
Are you perhaps confusing Encrypted Daz Connect product installation with script encryption? They are two very different things. I was told that encrypted scripts can only be run by the same (or later) Daz Studio version that it was encrypted with. Maybe my source was wrong. If you get a definitive answer from your PA contacts at Daz, please post it. I don't want to spread false information when trying to help someone!
You can also apply a pose from a different figure onto another figure. Then, it doesn't matter what you do in-between.
There is no technical need to do this restriction, but doing more research seems to indicate that you are right. I need to dig up an old version of Daz Studio 4.9.3.166 from somewhere for encrypting files.
I'm happy to report that all of my problems with Pose Blender went away when I updated Studio to 4.9.4.122. I'm really hoping a bunch of new problems don't crop up in other areas now.
I've been playing with Pose Blender, and it seems very stable and useful now. I may keep it!
A couple of observations: The script seems to be looking at the last 2 actions performed. It doesn't matter if those 2 actions were pose adjustments or not. It LOOKS at the pose positions of the last 2 actions. So..let's say I: 1.) apply first pose, 2.) apply second pose, 3.) adjust the camera, then apply the Pose Blender script. The script seems to be looking at the last 2 actions, even if they weren't pose adjustments.
In my example, I have 2.) applied 2nd pose, and 3.) made a camera adjustment. Those were the last 2 actions before I applied the Pose Blender script. During that time, the pose didn't change, so I will get an error that pose 1 and pose 2 didn't changed. There can be no actions after the application of the 2 poses that I want Pose Blender to blend.
Granted, this seems to be a limitation, because I, too, like to make a bunch of adjustments on the fly. When using this product, I need to modify my usual workflow. I have found myself posing figures in a separate scene, then merging that scene into my main scene. If I don't like the poses somewhere down the line, I can go back to my saved adjustment scene and fiddle with it, delete the poses in the main scene, and merge the new adjustments.
When you click accept, the changes are applied, and the script window closes . If you apply the script again, it will look at the last 2 actions you performed. They probably won't be the 2 original poses you applied, so...error message!, or...undesirable result At this point, you will need to place pose 1 and pose 2 in the stack, and apply the script. Make any adjustments, and click accept.
It's a nifty little script that will become more and more useful as you get used to it. It has limitations, but I know for sure it beats my feeble attempts at posing and endlessly adjusting by a longshot!!
Thank you for the mini-review I am glad it is working for you. Yes, when Pose Blender wants to blend two poses from the same figure, it looks at the last two actions on the undo stack. Pose Blender does not try to go back through the Undo stack until it finds two different poses for that figure. The other way is to blend poses between 2 different figures in the same scene. In that case, Pose Blender doesn't need to look at the undo stack and it doesn't matter what you do.
I updated the main post with the following.
Note: You may get an error on trying to start the Pose Blender script when you run it from an earlier version of Daz Studio. This is because I mistakenly encrypted the Pose Blender scripts with v4.9.4.117 (or thereabouts), which requires you to use Pose Blender with v4.9.4.117 or later. I am submitting updates for Pose Blender encrypted for v4.9.3.166, which will allow it to work with v4.9.3.166 or later. In the meantime, if you PM me and provide your receipt and an email address, I will send you an updated version right now. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Just to update my prior complaint post. Riversoft was extremely helpful, and once the problem with Studio release version compatability was discovered, they very promptly rectified the matter for me.
So, now, all the Riversoft Art products I have, Pose Blender, Bone Doctor, Eye Clock, and Pose Randomizer, work flawlessly.
5 stars to the PA, Riversoft Art, for super high quality Customer Service, and very fun and useful script products! Much appreciated.
(As a side note to add perspective to Riversoft's diligence in fixing this, a while back I bought a script product from another vender that wouldn't run, because I was one version back from the latest Studio release. I was told, in a nutshell, update to the latest release or screw. As I wasn't ready to do either of those things, I filed for a return instead. Their loss. I find that I'm much less inclined to look at their new products now, because their customer service concern was so unconcerned. As frequently as Daz comes up with new releases, the encryption compatablity issue on new products can cause expensive problems and major hesitation about purchasing new releases. Riversoft Art has shown that the issue is not that big a deal, and is resolvable. Very cool.)
Thank you for the kind words The issues you saw have been fixed and submitted to Daz as an update.
The update is now live in Daz Install Manager.
Hey,
but i cant record this blend Pose 1 > Pose 2 right ?
I tried this for the first time today.
This is an increadible product. I got the result I wanted in seconds. I have one set of zero-g poses and one set of gun poses and I wanted a zero-g pose of holding a gun. And done. Right there it saved me a ton of work and anguish.
Excellent product. Thank you.
