Some lights options greyed out

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Can anyone please help me understand why I have the options for "Misc" and "Light Sphere" from Scene View and "Shadows" from Light in the Lights tab greyed out? This happens if I try to use both Pont Lights or Linear Point Lights. Also I cannot use the options from the "Shadows" with any of the other lights.

    Iray and 3Delight support diffrent features - the properties that don't apply ares et to auto-hide, but you have Show Hidden proeprties set to on in the pane's option menu (the lined button in the top-corner, or right-click on the tab) and so you see them but they are greyed out to indicate that they are hidden.
