I don't remember where I saw it but there was a way to get clothing to reset and settle down after posing the figure.

you would do something, and the clothing would lift up then you did something else and it would drape down

naturally again.

it had something to do with Daz Studio animation tools (that I do not use in my work)

if someone knows what I am talking about and could fill me in, that would be cool

Clear Simulation Data? That's in the Simulastion pane option menu, and removes any existing simulation (as does starting a new simulation). Otherwise I'm not really sure what it could be.
