Muelsfell Modular Terrain Sets - Hellscape & Elven Monolith [Commercial]
Two new Muelsfell (Fantasy) themed sets have been released since my latest little promo commentary. The first near the start of March Madness and the latest just yesterday. Thematically, they're very different sets, but since they are both modular sets, I'd thought I'd combine into one "terrain" post and not spam things up too much. :)
The first, the Muelsfell Modular Hellscape, is set in the depths of hell itself. After reading forum comments, I'm making an effort to include as many modular pieces as is reasonable. The hellscape has over 20 modular pieces, ranging from rocks, rubble, and basalt colums to long bridges and baroque statues. There's Iray emissive settings for all the hot magma at the base of the props as well. Oh, and of course there's also two pre-made terrain pieces with integrated cliffs and bridges.

The second, the Muelsfell Elven Monolith Modular Set, is set in the much nicer climate of a fantasy pine tree barrens. Naturally this set includes modular vegetation, rocks, and trees. It also includes a morphable moss prop, to fill out gaps (and it even works pretty well as a small ground plane in its own right if you scale it up). The main terrain piece comes in two varieties -- one with trees, and one without. The one without should be a little easier on folks with slow computers, so they can place exactly however many trees they need and no more.
I'm really proud of this promo for some reason. Sure, it captures what you can do with the set and blah blah marketing, but I'm pleased with the ambiguity of it. Is she draining energy from the monolith? Activating it with lightning? Destroying it? Using it for target practice?
(though if you look closely, the shadows on her face makes it look like she has no chin, haha, oops)

Anyway, I hope folks find these to be useful and exciting sets. More on the way. The next set will be another sci-fi one.

Grabbed both as well, and I'd like to thank you for creating sets that can be used in close-up! Especially the Elven Monolith grounds are fantastic, and will certainly become a go-to set for certain outdoor scenes.
Thank you again, and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the nice words! Glad you're both finding the sets to be useful.
That level of detail is what I'm striving for in all my outdoor sets from here on out, though it does put a limit on how big I can make the terrain pieces. I don't like scenes that lag out when you're trying to move the camera around, so figuring out how to keep everything nice and detailed while making sure the viewport is responsive is a bit of a balancing act.
I love Hellscape, and wouldlike to see new modular terrain sets of other darker horror lands, or like evil atlantis, the maleficent forest....
Looks great some brilliant detail there, you have come a long way from when you first start. Just keep doing what you're doing !
Thanks for the comments! I've got some plans for some "dark Elf" sort of pieces that might fit the darker horror lands theme.
Definitely come a long way since my first projects. I'm actually a little ashamed of my early work. Here's hoping I can keep moving the quality levels upward! :D
