How do you load content from 3rd party vendors on Daz 4.6 Mac platform?

Greetings all,
I am having a very difficult time understanding how to load content created by a 3rd party vendor into Daz 3D 4.6. All the tutorials that I have seen do not cover Mac only PC.

Is there a tutorial that will show you how to open the zip file and where to load the content manually as the installer does not seem to work outside of teh Daz Marketplace.

Thanks,

The best way to do so on a Mac is to use Ditto, it allows the Merge function just as used in Win OS's to merge one Runtime Folder (the one from the item) to your content folders Runtime folder. Merge is the best way to do third party content.
Otherwise you will have to hand install each folder from the Third party content to the appropriate folder path by hand. And that is a JOB and a half.

Cool, so I merge the runtime folder from a 3rd party into what folder in Daz?

Merging in Finder is a but tricky sometimes.

If the content is "Poser" content, then I recommend my RendoInstall Program (you find it in the weblink below at 4eyes, under applications.
It do handle some of the DS content too but is seems like every content creator has their own way of packaging DS content so I gave up making RendoInstall handle it all.

You can use ditto in the terminal (that is what RendoInstall does under the hood anyway.
But to be sure I recommend learning to understand the metaphysics regarding Content installations and paths and you will be able to do it manually using merging or manually moving files, specially for the DS stuff.
