Questiong regarding rendering Image series vs Movie animation in Daz STudio 4.6/4.7Q
Hello, I was just wondering if there was a difference in rendering speed if I rendered an animation out through image sequences then used something like Virtual dub to turn it into an animation, or if it is faster to simply just render the animation as a movie through the built in render movie option? Thanks!

The animation, as far as I know, gets rendered to an image sequence anyway - it's just a question of whether DS assembles it and deletes the PNG files or gives you the PNG files at the end. So there shouldn't be much of a speed difference (DS making the animation from a stack of PNGs vs Virtual Dub doing it) but it is considered good practice to use an image sequence as you don't lose your work if the render crashes, you can rerender a few frames if you spot a problem, and you can readily composite with a backdrop or the like.
Awesome, that's exactly what I wanted to know. That has been what I've been doing. Appreciate the clarification :)
