Does Altern8 replace the skin textures?

If I apply Altern8 to a figure I previously optimized (using scene optimizer), is it still optimized or do I need to do it again?

    Altern8 provides 2 options for each preset. One where you can indeed replace maps and one that only replaces the settings and leaves the maps intact.

    Any word on Altern8 being updated for 8.1?
