Can I use my renders from Daz3d for commercial use?

Hi, I'm new so this so this may be a dumb question but I want to make certain. Can I use the 2D renders I make from the characters I purchased for commercial use? Like comic books, book covers and so forth for selling? Do I need to buy additional licenses and permissions?

Thank you.

Yes, no problems with anything purchased from the DAZ 3D store being used for something like that, even the free items.

However do be careful if you use any freebies from other places as many freebies have no commercial usage specified

There is one item in the store, the Anne Marie Goddard Digital Clone, that does have additional restrictions. Those are noted on the product page.

Thank you for the fast replies. OK, so I have to make sure to read the notes on the product page. So is the electronic receipt enough to be my documentation for proof or should I be looking for some other documentation to keep in my records? Because couldn't the notes on a product page change or the page discontinue after time?

You will always have the products in your product library, which also displays some of the details.

Wo hoo, I just ask this to CS and someone already making thread of it.

Well lyam04, maybe we have the same idea, which are ..secret.. :)

LOL. Funny, but Noerman, I highly doubt we are the first to think about using these cool 3D resources for commercial use. I just think they're fun and add more creativity to projects. Though, I don't want to use them or spend money on them if I'm not allowed, but it looks like it's OK to use.

To add to chohole's comments, freebies might also say something like "for Personal Use only" which means the same thing...

Remember that the default is "no" - you can do with an item only what the readme or EULA allows, so if it doesn't say commercial rendering is permitted it isn't.
