Lighting tutorial for a room rather than a figure?

I'm trying to learn and understand about lighting, and applying it to a bar scene I'm working on.

All the tutorials I see focus on lighting a single figure, so a key light on them, a back light, etc.

Can anyone recommend materials to help me learn to light a room or a scene with multiple figures?

    Scavenger,

I think this thread might help you on your lighting of a bar scene. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/48971/ Something that should be realized is that the basic lighting technique for a single figure will always be the foundation for just about all images. So although there maybe ambient light or point lights used in the surrounding area the light surrounding the focus of the image is brightest. In the image below I have made my single figure to be the boy and the monsters. I have 5 point lights and an uber light surrounding them and then I have a point light coming through the window for moon light and another point light shining from right to left to light up just a bit more of the bedroom. I used this free light set to get me started. http://inaneglory.deviantart.com/art/Simple-Soft-Lighting-Freebie-193115008. I would also suggest that a search of the internet for movie scene set lighting diagrams might be something that will help you in getting that bar scene mood.
