How to smooth dForce hair?

Hello, how can I smooth dForce hair (adding more segments/step)?

And it would be nice if there is a way to reduce the thickness of the hair.

I believe smoothing, as you call it, is what the "PS/PR points per hair" setting is for. You might also experiment with the line width at the top of the surface settings for thickness.

Oh and can you explain what is the different between PR and PS point? I don't know what they stand for and can't find anything in the document using the search feature!
