What exactly are you trying to do when you get the error?
That's a typical message that pops up when one tries to apply say a material, when the required subject is not selected in the scene.
If nothing is selected, the program cannot guess which item to apply the material, or action, etc. to.
Hi guys the figure is loaded, then i just click on each of the animations to see the animations , animate my figure but that message appears instead of playing the animation
Do you mean the free Aniblocks that come with DAZ Studio, or something else?
Have you looked at the Log File to see if there are any further clues there, Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File. Look at the bottom of the file that loads to see if you can identify what the message refers to.
In other words, make sure you have your figure selected either in the viewport or in the scene tab that you want to apply the animation to, before clicking on the animation. I've never tried it, but I would think the the whole figure needs to be selected and not just a piece of the figure (like an arm or the head, etc.)
Loaded is not the same as selected.
Select the figure FIRST. Then check out the animations.
I selected the entire figure and it still says it! :( , i will have to look at the log too.
When you open the error log, you can select all and delete the info/save ... then load the figure, select the figure and try the animation again. Then when the error message comes up, copy/paste that info to Notepad or something, and then post it in here and somebody [not I] might be able to see what is going on to give you better guidance.
