A Work Harness for the DAZ Horse 2 and another for the Centaur but ...

Because of the last forum thread ( A harness for the DAZ Horse 2 : Who's interrested and for which carriage? - Daz 3D Forums ), I'm now working on the Work Harness for DAZ Horse 2 (see WIP below), and, by the way, I try to figure out how this Work Harness can fit the Centaur for Genesis 8. Some minor changes can do the job but the harness is finally scaled to 73.7%. When I look to this Work Harness, I find it not in the mood of Centaurs. Any suggestion about it ?

I think, to allow the centaur to use his strenght to pull the carriage, the harness should be more like a tall waistband embracing the lower part of the human torso. In the way it's posed now, when he starts to pull the harness would be pressed against his body in an angled position and, being it metallic, it would be painful. The part attached to the human torso needs to be completely remodeled
The horse harness looks great! Very useful.

I agree, it may not make anatomical sense (but these are centaurs) but I think it would need to engage with the human torso too to look plausible, which would probably need a separate figure.
I think the exact scale factor is closer to 74.1% - my guess is that the Horse 2 body was scaled down for the centaurs at 1/1.35, as if you take measurements off both meshes and compare them, the horse is so close to being exactly 35% bigger that the difference is floating point rounding errors.

On this whole note, I wish fitting Horse 2 assets to the centaurs was easier. While I've made basic clones for them, the rigging is a flipping pain (unless you're willing to go with basic transfer utility results).
It's stuff I could fix in about five minutes with Blender's tools, but trying to do things like swap around the weight maps and bone hierarchy is really frustrating with DS's rigging tools, which are much less powerful and have no undo, so one mistake in the very roundabout method means starting over. (It'd help so much if Daz Studio was updated to properly load rigged FBX files from Blender...)
I agree, may be this kind of design is somewhat in the good way?
not a suggestion but a plea: if it's not a lot of additional work, can you addpt the centaur harness to centaur 7 too? i don't have the 8 version, and since i already can't afford stuff that i really don't have at all in any versions, and my wishlist is meanwhile longer than a phone book, i'm not going to invest in yet another centaur...
As this fits the horse part of the Centaur, and that is DAZ Horse 2 in both cases, wouldn't it just fit Centaur 7 with a change in Scene Identification?
i didn't think of this, that actually it's the same horse. because i thought of autofit between human figures, and thought there's no autofit between horse figures. and of course i didn't realize it fits the horse and not the human centaur part either. so it might not be a problem even as it is now... thx for bringin this to my attention, even if your msg was (also) directed to the creator of the harness ^^

This will definitely be a day-1 purchase for me. It would fit perfectly into a story I've been workshopping, and my attempts to fit Horse 2 accessories to the centaur body have been utterly confounding.
I own everything Centaur in the store and this would fly into the cart :)

hey,.. as i wrote this i just had an idea... what about a mervolk chariot, with a harness and some type of shell? ok, from the physics POV i guess there's not much use in being "carried" in the water, lol. but it would look cute XD
