"Before when you clicked on any of the different product categories at the top menu you got a paginator both at top and bottom so you could click on thenext button fast to get to the next page, now it is terrible, the paginator is at the bottom and every time you click on next page it scrolls up to the top so you have to scroll down all the way to the bottom to get to the next button, and while you are at it, there are >500 pages at the moment and the only way to go through them is to click next, there is no way to skip 5 or 10 pages or anything like that when you have them sorted on price or whatever and you want to get past the first 30 pages that are of no interest for example.
At an absolute minimum, can we please get the paginator back at the top of the page and not just at the bottom please."
YES, PLEASE!!!

Search results are still messed up. I did a search for Daz Dog 8. It returned 128 results. No problem. Thing is, with 60 results per page, it shows two pages. There is, in fact, a third page, but the page control will not allow it. You can get there by altering the URL in the address bar where it has &p=2 and putting, you guessed it, &p=3. Enter, and you have the lost third page with the remaining 8 items. I tried it with 40/page, it shows 3 pages; with 80/page, it shows 1 page. Classic off-by-one error.
Instead of the list of products used for the promo pictures (which was very often really helpful and led me to follow-up purchases), for some time now we have only been shown general 'recommendations', which usually have nothing, but nothing at all to do with the product one is interested in at the moment. "You may also be interested in the following products" - why, please? As a rule, only current products are shown there. Yes, thank you, but I also see them on the shop page.
If I'm looking at a fancy hair item, for example, do I really want to know if Daz also has a dinosaur or a medieval forge? Or would I perhaps be more interested in knowing if there are other colours or add-ons for this hair model?
But maybe I'm the only one who finds these 'recommendations' pointless.
Not the only one!
Dana
I started blocking them with Adblock Plus when they went multi-line. I don't recall them ever being relevant to the item being purchased.
hmm, when I click to view pages for items I might want to buy, I get an empty page. The error console shows:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ';' (at skies-of-economy-redux--volume-3:327:27)
It seems to only happen when I try and open a page from search results. For example, I search on "sky" and try and open one of the items in a new tab it just shows up empty.
I'm seeing the same issue across a variety of browsers, although it isn't necessarily associated with opening a page from search results. I'm glad you posted; it's nice to have confirmation that this isn't isolated to my systems.
Yeah, after I posted I found more instances, but I don't know what the trigger is. I was viewing the BOYB results and some items would open while others would not. It's very frustrating because I want to read about the product. It happens on both my deskop and iPad, so it's not extensions (the iPad doesn't allow any).
...the product sort is still buggered as well. I'll open a sale page which is supposed to default to "newest first" only to find old products mixed in from the get go. Usually selecting a different sort setting and then going back fixes this however in the Select Daz+ items sale today, by the time I get to page 6 (out of 25) I'm already seeing Gen4 and even older content. that has been in the store for years mixed in with content that was released later. On the next page it goes back to G8 again.
Maybe the items have had updates? If so, the sort should be going according to the add date, not the update date.
Dana
...don't see Daz updating something from 2007 or even 2010 for say Gen4.
About the only older items being "updated" are Jack's sets and then he usually issues a separate Iray shader set for them.
I've just noticed that when I search for items, it seems to overlook the product description in favour of the title. Sometimes I have to use Google "site:daz3d.com" to find an item by description.
And it's still not possible to do search strings within items on Specials pages, or filter items by what's in your wishlist.
Hi,
I guess it has been mentioned many times but I will say it again so that the website team can see that it bothers many people. The categorization of assets and the search filters are a disaster. Impossible to do a character research without having tons of clothes or props. When I search for a character, I only want the characters. Thanks
Anyone ever had the order processing go into a perpetual loop of "transaction is taking an unusually long time" page refreshes? Meanwhile, I recieved emails saying the order was complete and the times are available for download.
...oopsie wrong thread, Moved to the Daz Shop Search Update! thread (with typo corrections)
A small web design error... the top-right corner of the Daz Plus info page, it cuts off the top of the shopping cart icon where it shows the quantity in your cart (see screenshot)...
https://www.daz3d.com/daz-plus
I have not noticed this problem on other pages, and I believe the problem is in the border thickness of the CSS file containing... DIV Class for the Top-Right-Navigation:
<div class="top_right_nav">
I believe this was fixed, as I'm not seeing it. Are you still seeing it?
I believe the search has gotten significantly better, but let us know if not. Also, love the idea of adding filters to the wishlist and will get that over to our developers.
May I ask why exactly this character: https://www.daz3d.com/yvalanore-hd-for-genesis-81-female is apparently classified as "mature content" on my wishlist now? I thought it had been pulled from the store when I looked at my WL and it was gone.
Never really noticed before, but the Order links from the Store Credit page ("Payment towards order...") do not do anything useful, they just go to the Account Info page. The URLs have a different format than the ones on the Orders pages.
@Daz_Jessica Yes, on the Windows 10 PC in the Edge browser, the shopping cart icon is stil cut-off at the top of the Daz Plus page (https://www.daz3d.com/daz-plus). Here's a screenshot from today...
NOTE 1: If you jump between 2 tabs... one with the Daz-Plus page and the other can be any Daz Store page, then you will see the height of the "Search Store" box jumps larger, and the Shopping Cart icon cuts-off the yellow above the number on the Daz-Plus page. All that needs to be done, is to compare the Search Box/Shopping Cart code on a Daz Store page with the code on the Daz-Plus page to find the differences.
NOTE 2: The new page for the Mythical Render Contest (https://www.daz3d.com/mythical-render-contest) also has the extra tall "Search Store" box and a different Cart icon with a larger "items number" right on top of the Shopping Cart icon instead of slightly above and to the right of the cart... see attached screenshot. The website designers for the store pages, vs. the other pages are obviously using at least 2 different sets of CSS code... someone on the website team needs to unify the CSS code being used across the entire Daz3D website.
For the last couple of weeks, the daily sales page doesn't work in Edge. I get just the top image and the footer. I end up using Firefox to see the day's offers.
@Nath That's strange, as the 2022 Premier Artist Festival page loads normally for me in the Edge browser (see screenshot).
https://www.daz3d.com/2022-premier-artist-festival
Let's compare our software... I'm running:
Windows 10 Home (OS build 19044.1889)
Edge Version 105.0.1343.33 (Official build) (64-bit)
I'm getting the same issue in Chrome.
@deepred6502 I just tested the page in the Chrome browser (Windows PC) and it loaded fine for me and I could scroll through all the daily featured products. Perhaps it is a browser plug-in that causes the page to load incorrectly for you guys. Also, check to make sure your browser is up-to-date.
My Chrome is Version 105.0.5195.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Win11. Edge is version 105.0.1343.33 and up to date.
but I've found the issue: A filter in AdBlock. Turning off this extra filter rule that said "daz3d.com##.bs5-container-fluid.bs5-p-5" solves the problem. Don't know what it blocks either*. ABP itself gives no issues, the page loads fine. So, well, thanks for the troubleshoot! Although I'm of course curious what that line was blocking.
*actually, thinking about it, I blocked that annoying referrals splash on my account page a while back.
Can I direct website developer people's attention to my post in a sales problems thread:
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/7688481/#Comment_7688481
But this may be a better place to get someone to look at it.
Since the latest change to the store page, the filters on the left don't seem to be working against the contents of a particular sale page, but aganist the entire store.
This makes it impossible to find sale items by a particular artist, genre, software or figure.
In case it's just me, I'm using Chrome browser. Selecting a PA name, a Genre or a Figure shows everything in the store, not everything in that sale.
It looks particularly ridiculous on the Fastgrab page! - but is much more of a problem on current sales pages which run to several hundred items.
Can this be fixed please?
