Too much rez with Base Mesh export

Doc AcmeDoc Acme Posts: 1,153

I picked this item up a few days ago.  https://www.daz3d.com/ajc-boogie-roller-girl-outfit-and-boombox-for-genesis-8-and-81-females

Great looking outfit but I'm having an odd issue exporting it out.  I set the Mesh rez of every thing to Base as I usally do, but the mesh ends up output much higher rez than I'm accustom to getting. That's really putting a crimp on posing, or just navigating in my main app.

Am I missing another parameter that affects both FBX and OBJ?

Might it be that that IS base resolution for the produt items?

Might there be an issue with the mesh actually get setting to Base?

Open up your Scene Info pane to see what the base polygon count is for each part of the outfit, and compare that to what you see in your other app.

... and where EXACTLY is that?

    I think Gordig meant this:

    1. Click here:

    2. Now look here:

For comparison: here is a prop only with Base Resolution, so the second number indicates number of high resolution faces:

Menu bar, rather than toolbar (which is the one with buttons)

Thanks.  I'd of never found that.

Getting back to my orininal question, the mesh face count matches exactly.  So I guess that means the product itself has a higher poly count that usual.

    Thanks again all.
