Is there anyway to fix this clothing distortion?

I'm trying to create some clothes for a custom model but it seems the clothes look very distorted and weird on the body and I was wondering is there any type of smoother or fixer for both body and clothes

similar to this utility?

What figure are you using? Did you model the clothing on the default figure or the modified character? If you used Transfer Utility, what were your settings?

Genesis 8 female and clothes are from V4

Is it using generic autofit, or do you have V4 clones, uch as https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-clothing-converter-from-victoria-4-to-genesis-8-female

Is the character the base G8, or morphed.

The problem you are seeing is not unusual, but can often be minimized by using clones.

It is a good idea to be clear in your terms - create implied you modelled them, not that they were converted from another figure.

Hi. Yeah it's generic autofit. What are V4 clones? (sorry if it's a noob question) The character is GF8 morphed it's not original genesis 8 female.

Yeah so basically it's a purchased Genesis 8 female toon that is fully custom. I'm using here her original body in which I didn't add any extra morphs.

When using autofit it transfer the clothing to the new character, to my knowledge, based on nearest surface.

A clone is a template that more dedicated transfer of the clothing, often with options to select whay type of clothing it is.

My experience that clones usually does a better job.

I would suggest to first transfer the clothing to an unmorphed character, as that show how the actual transfer has gone. And then dial in your morphed character, as your morph also can cause or emphesize problems.

I use the products only for the characters that they are intended for. Auto fit increases the saved files by a factor of ten or more. I am maxing out a two terabyte drive and this would not be happening if I did use autofit so much when I first started using DAZ

You can choose to save the autofitted clothing as an asset before saving the scene file, then it will not be larger.

Sickleyield has a load of products that deal with fitting clothes that include a "detriangulator" which deals with that specific problem.

The converter mentioned earlier might help.

And speaking of SIckleYield having utilities to help with this... yes, specifically https://www.daz3d.com/sy-clothing-fit-helper-genesis-8-female is the one that has fit helpers similar to the G3 one you linked in your original post, this should help with the issue you are showing.

For longer dresses, this might also be helpful https://www.daz3d.com/sy-ultra-templates-genesis-8-female-s .

I tried doing that and I think I am doing it incorrectly because it never seemed to work for me.
