I wasn't going to get involved with the 9 generation for a number of reasons, mostly expense. But I was lured in by the beautiful eyes. Anyway I bought the morph package and Legacy UVs for Genesis 9: Genesis 3, 8, and 8.1 Female and Josie's Cat Suit. I hope to stop there. LOL. The guy has Mabel's textures and uses the aged face and body and some others. The cat lady has August textures.

They both look fantastic! :) I had the morph package in my cart, but decided against it. I'd rather wait for some of Zev0 and I think it was Dogz morphs? :)

Great creations, everyone - please keep'em going.

    I enjoy watching them.

    Thanks, AllenArt and Barbult.

The Mable-textured guy's shave is a little too close, I think. I tried some stubbles from my many beard sets, but they didn't look right, in a closeup anyway.

The DAZ morph package is really interesting for the 9s. Some different features than the earlier ones.

These are Proportion Larger, @200%, and Proportion Smaller, @ 180% and 200% for the really tiny guy.

The face shapes are included in the body morph, common features of very small and very large people. I don't know if these are in the Starter Essentials or the Body Morph Package. (Proportion Height and Proportion Smaller Body Only don't change the head shapes.)

    Accurate I think.

Another randomizer gal with PA gift jewelry. She looks pretty attractive to me, and like a real person. The hair is from G8 and is a little crinkly on G9.

She does look real to me too. And she has a nice smile!

I did my first male character! I was never very good at drawing men, so it's fun to see what I can do in Daz! I used Michael skin (with transparency weight turned up) and lots of different dials to get the shape I wanted. I chose to try and create a face I knew from a recent TV show, but not sure anyone will recognize him. I am not really happy with the clothing, but just used what I could find in my libary and wishlished a ton of stuff for later.

There are so many good characters here. They make me want to try, but I  have so much into G8 that I'm not ready to buy into 9 anytime soon. This one above is surely Cassian Andor (Diego Luna).

There is a lot to play with in just the free starter essentials for G9, without spending any money. There are morphs and skins to try. Go go for it!

I did most of the heads I did in the beginning with just the freebies that came with Genesis 9 Starter Essentials :). I made a few custom morphs in Hexagon which helped, but it was all for free. Heh.

    @AllenArt

Could you explain, please, which custom morphs you did, please, please.

I am puzzled about how good your characters are - just amazing.

@Quasar, I have been mixing G3M, G8M, G8.1M items to clothe Michael 9 and G9M base and morphs I have done as we have so few male clothes now for G9M. And I found the M3D facial hair and hats worked very well, along with PA facial hair for G8Ms worked extremely nice. Just with the Auto-fit Base templates. Even some boots loaded without issue. So play with the free G9 and morphs and use your existing wardrobes and hairs. Some will work, some won't. Have fun.

@AllenArt - I love that nose morph you have done. It matches the broken nose on my little sister after she walked behind me when I swung a bat in a backyard game of baseball, and go smacked with the bat. She grew-up with character on a fairy princess face.

Thanks @AllenArt for creating this thread. Seeing your fabulous characters and everyone elses great work here has been a lot of fun and inspiring. I don't think I would have got round to morphing G9 anytime soon without seeing everybody having fun creating amazing characters. Here's one I tried my hand at this past week. Definitely want to try my hand at a G9M next!

Great job, everyone! I love seen these new images that people are sharing even if I don't always reply in the thread. I love the winter feel on the latest image, @SapphireBlue and thanks for sharing your character, @Ilena!

Here is my next G9 experiment.

My first boi...dial spun using a randomizer with the DO Genesis 9 Head Shapes and tweaking from there. Skin is Victoria 9's with my own adjustments to sss.

The trick is to take the female base to -100 rather than 0.

I quite like your skin paint spec embellishments.

  • I decided to take the randomizer for a spin as well (with very minimal tweaks) for my first G9M.

Quick portrait with one of the default skins (Michael 8.1). Fun to do! smiley

Random dial spinning with Nikolai included also used his textures.  One thing I realized we are missing is a shorten nails morph.  I unchecked limits and used the rounded nails morph but if you go to far it makes the nails look funny.

Looks like the Professor from Gilligan's Island (Russell Johnson), has come to investigate if his coconut powered cellphones are a commercial success.

HaHa he sure does! I knew he looked like someone but couldn't put my finger on it.

Was inspired by Shimrian's take on Cassian Andor, so I tried my hand at a likeness of him using G9. Overall pretty happy with the result.

Let's see those custom G9 faces folks, now that the morph packages are out ;).

One of my favorite things (when my muse is away) is making faces on my 3D characters. Seems I'm always rolling a new one. I bet I'm not alone. So let's see those faces! :D

Here's mine (so far). Someone remind me to make an "Ears Rotate In and Out" morph. I was kinda surprised there wasn't one in the Essential morphs ;) BTW, the nose here is pretty much custom. All else are Daz morphs.

Edit: just had to rotate his ears back a bit. What do ya think? Out or in? LOL

How did you get the ears to look like they do in the second image? Both faces are excellent!
