The coldest day should be tomorrow night with lows of -35C or so.. We are ok in our suite, its currently 24C, with the heat turned way up - we lose a lot of heat via radiation on cold clear nights, the disadvamtage of wall to wall floor-to ceiling windows inthe living and dining room.. but on the plus side, theview of the river and valley is well worth it

Starting to fill in the placeholders. Changed the HDR and LUT but not entirely sure which look I preferred. They both have their ups and downs I guess.  This HDR lets the smoke sim I made shine a bit more though.  Also, creating a bow-holding pose from hand is trickier than it seemed :D   I feel like this scene would take weeks/months to animate, and not just from the render time (Which was only about five or six minutes, but that adds up quick)

It's been fun using old products :>

...snow, wind, cold (particularly for Portland: -6°C [22F], norma this time is 8° [46°F]) on my birthday Thuirsday.  So much for going out.

Supposed to get freezing rain on Friday, so time to hit the market to stock up to get through that and the holiday weekend.

Complaint: missing icons in the upper right...profile icon, forum menu icon, one other.  Can't even remember what it is.  Just little rectangles showing.  They work, but it just looks very wrong.  What in the world are they doing to the forum software now?

..the third is the Cart icon. Also hard to find is the Edit Post icon (formerly the little gear in the upper right corner of a comment you posted).

I don't know what I did wrong, but suddenly exporting an FBX of a G8.1 figure with a geograft and clothing exports everything EXCEPT the figure mesh.

    Ummm..., negative 30Csurprise  That's down where C and F are almost the same.  -30C = -22Findecision  Brrrr...

Complaint:  I have an invitation to a holiday dinner on Friday night.yes  Weather forecast for this area is major cold and blizzard.no  I really don't want people driving in bad weather to come pick me up and take me back for a 3 hour dinner with people I don't know, and then have to drive me back in bad weather, in the dark ,after excessive holiday imbibing or inhaling of various substances.frown  And I do not want to get stuck at somebody else's house overnight.  When you're this old, over-nighters are not just a flop on a couch, I have medical things to attend to and sleep is difficult for me even in my own bed.  No sir, don't wanna go.  I'd rather miss a dinner.  And I'm no fun at a party anyway.sad  But I'd rather blame the weatherman.devil

I miss the Show Wishlist filter on the store pages.  I think maybe that was a DAZ Deals add-on feature.

Memory Lane:  January 22, 1968, a momentous entertainment event.  How many old-timers wanted to forget this?

The incomparable Tiny Tim's first appearance on TV.  And of course, on Laugh-In.  The show that broke all sorts of norms.

...forgot about the fact you mentioned that you tested positive for covid.

Still, wanting to throw your personal property away isn't very nice.

Missing for me, too, in Windows/Firefox as well as iOS/DuckduckGo. Maybe they're redoing the store looks?

...and he went on to make subsequent appearances on Laugh In as well as the Tonight Show on which his marriage to his first wife, Miss Vicky. was performed live.

I wonder how remember that he didn't perform his "signature song" Tiptoe Through the Tulips on his television debut.

He actually had  a career performing locally in New York City previous to his appearance on Laugh In that dates back to 1959 as well as having  appeared in two independent films in the early 1960s. and was actualy quite popular in the local area.

He had one daughter from his first marriage who was appropriately named Tulip.

His given name was Herbert Butros Khaury and he went by several other stage names before receiving the name "Tiny Tim" by his manager (Herbert was 6'1") .  He mentioned in 1969 that his use of falsetto was influenced by singer Rudy Vallée who also used to sing songs in the upper register while he grew out his hair after seeing a poster of Rudolph Valentino in long hair

    Urrrrgh... My head. Another headache

My Mum's surprise present arrived today. It's a blanket with pictures of our last cat printed onto it. I wanted to do something special for my Mum this year, and it was the only thing that I could think of (I don't have the greatest imagination). I just hope I have the same luck when it comes to buying our Christmas dinner. I guess the stress of it may also explain all of these headaches that I'm having.

I quite like the Fire TV stick. Although, I'm just watching everything that I've already seen throughout the year on other streaming services. :/

I wish I could sleep like "The Tabby Terror"/"Mr. An*l Sac". 5-7 hours so far.

Non-Complaint to our "overlords": Thank you for the Grab Bag, Daz! ^^ heartyes

Interesting self-comparison he had.  But I think visually it's closer to a cross between Fabio and The Wicked Witch of the West.indecision

...ugh, another spate of bad gateway errors.  First one happened just after I submitted a PM and lasted about 15 min.

All the fancy stuff they're doing to the site here while the basics that make it run keep malfunctioning.

I was just getting a sign in and get signed out problem.  Everytime I tried going to this thread I get signed out, just to be resigned in and at the main page of the forums.  I finally got it to work somehow so I could complain about it.
