You're really welcome. Due to a lot of demands concerning Genitalia, I'm presently working a a script aiming at transfering figure skin settings to Genitalia. I seem to have promising results on Genesis Male so far. If I manage to have it working I'll have a look if I can adapt it for Genesis 2 Male and Female wet and tanned skins.
It really does though. The issues I was having have been my own fault but I assumed that anyways, as I was in a hurry this day and did not really take my time for it. I am running a render at the moment, a merman, I will show him to you once he has finished rendering.... which will take time, I belong to the poor ones who need to render via CPU because I have AMD graphic cards...
And woohoo for Gen presets. Finally someone who does not pretend, men don´t have any... ;)
Btw - is there a chance, the drips and drops will also be available for Gen2M at some point? Or would the Female product also work on the men? This is rather off topic I fear, you can also send my a PM here or on DeviantArt if you like.

The Drips and Drops autofit to G2M just fine. It treats them as though they were clothing, so as long as you have the clones -- or CrossFigure if you want to try it that way -- you should be just fine. I've got an image of Scott in my dA gallery with the Drips and Drops, although they don't look their best because I messed something up somewhere.
Ohhhh that is good to know! I ill get them too then at some point, thank you for telling me! I´d get them right now but I spent my budget for this month... ;)
When I try to copy this product and the drips and drops product to my contents folder I get a message saying the source file names are longer than is supported for the file system. I have Win 8.1 x64 and my contents folder is G:/Contents so I can't reduce the file hierarchy any further to accommodate the long file names. The nested folders and file names exceed Windows character limit. Any solutions?
UPDATE: I moved the product file to C:/ folder and copied it to G:/Content without any warnings so problem solved!

I agree there are very long source names. Ooops! I hope you'll be the only one to have this issue. The names are long because, well first they all begin the same so that they are all pretty gathered in the smart content, and also to give the user the most possible information when loading files... I'll ask DAZ if there is something I can do if it happens to other people (all file renaming?). Well you solved your issue, it's what matters...
I found it!!! Well I don't remember exactly which tan preset I used or wetness increase and deacres I did, I create tons of files when I make my images, and my brain is not able to memorise all. BUT : If you have Lee 6 I can post you the scene file directly! Do you have Lee 6? (don't worry if you don't : we will find another solution)!
Sorry for not answering sooner, very bad manners from me, but I`m a mess and got other things going on and forgot all about 3D for a while.
Thanks for your help! I don`t have Lee 6, But If you can send me the file I`ll be very grateful, I like the result so much I might end up buying him some day when there`s an offer. :D

Awesome product! Thanks for everything!
Don't worry, I know we all have plenty of things to do, I was sure you were busy at something else, no issue! I sent you the documents. I'm really glad you love the product! Thanks for the feedback!
First off I want to say that I have learned how to use this item and I love it, It's one of the best purchases I've made for my Genesis 2 characters. I have learned to simply start any new application of this product with almost no gloss and I step it up from there, my results have been very good using this methodical approach.
However I also think I have discovered a bug regarding Male genitalia. By the way it works very well on female as long as I do as I describe above, but I digress, I can get the wet and tanned skin shader to apply to the male hip area but not the genitalia itself, no matter what I do or what genital model I use the issue occurs (by the way your script work on the OMGDK2 by sledgehammer on rotica but the same issue occurs it does not apply the shader on the genital itself, just the hip) if you check the shader after applying it it still says 'Iray Uber' shader. Everything else that Wet and Tan skins applies to it tells you in the Surface tab which shader is applied and all say 'Wet and Tan skin' shader (all body parts on figure and genital model except the genital itself) .
Everything else works well and I am happy but if you could look into this issue I offer my thanks in advance.

Hello ogimus! Thanks a lot for this very nice feedback about this!! Indeed, for the women genitalia, the script will work, but for the male genitalia, it can not work "as is". This is why I have written, in the pdf help file, the exact procedure to apply the wet and tanned skins to the genitalia parts. The procedure is not really long, and if you want to open the help file you have to double click on : "WT Open Help File How To Adjust Effects To Your Figure". You have to go page 15 on "VII. What if I want to apply the material to anatomy parts?". Here is this procedure (you will find more comments and details in the pdf) :
1. SAVE AS SHADER PRESET
Once you have set up the rest of the skin, select a surface of the figure close to anatomical parts using the surface selection tool. In general you will select hips, and make : File/Save As/Shader Preset. In the window Shader Preset - save options, uncheck UV set from the list.
2. APPLY !Iray Uber Base to the anatomy surfaces you work on. For that select all the surfaces of the genitalia using the surface selection tool, and double click the " !Iray Uber Base" provided by DAZ. This is an obligatory step.
3. CRTL+ Apply the "Wet And Tanned Shader" that you created on step 1 : While all the anatomy surfaces are still selected, hold down CTRL key and double click the shader (Tanned Hips Shader) you created during step one. A new window will pop up, and you will change the options "Images : Replace" into "Images : Ignore".
At this step, this is almost over, the Base Color and Translucency maps should be the same, the Glossy Color and Top coat Color maps should be the same, and all the settings should be the same, except the top coat bump.
4. Place the Bump maps in the Top Coat Bump Maps. (detailed in the pdf)
Let me know if it solved your issue, and if it can make you feel better, for now, everybody following the exact steps described managed to have the exact same shader on Genitalia as on the rest of the skin! Let me know if you had an issue, we will solve that anyway!
I haven't tried this product yet but wanted to compliment you on how interactive and helpful you are with the buyers/potential buyers. I hope folks who haven't purchased it yet notice the level of support you are giving people who have questions- the level of detail is wonderful, baby-stepping us through the process. Is any of this information possibly a good fit to put in the ReadMe so people wont have to find it on this thread? I don't know how hard those are to edit/change.
I have not begun yet, it's somewhere in my schedule... xD! But all the tools I'm presently developping for my current project will be helpful to have an even more easy and comfortable usage of the G3 version!

That's so nice from you Novica (gosh there is no "kiss" emoticon, but if there was one..)!
Thank you! It's important for me to "baby-step" when I can because.. The product itself is a bit my "baby". I want people to be proud of it and happy with it;).
For the informations I provide here, they are already in the product, and on the ReadMe page. If you have the product, you will see at the root of it a file called : "WT Open Help File How To Adjust Effects To Your Figure". Actually the title is maybe not relevant, but when you double click on it you will have a 21 pages pdf help file popin up and explaining everything I explained on the forum, category by category. (I included it directly in the product so that nobody has to browse on the web or browse on the computer to get the info).
Whatever I do, I get completely gray skin when I use this product. I've tried it on a few figures including some DAZ original figures such as Victoria 6, but I get the same gray skin for all of them. I am following the instructions in the User's Guide by the way. The gray I get is not the "silver" issue outlined in the user's guide. It's just a dull, clay-like gray. I am using Daz Studio 4.9 and iRay. Does the product work with Daz Stduio 4.9?
Ok I just had a look and it works!!! I just tried on Victoria 6.
What is happening is : when you swap from another preview mode to this one (preview mode is "texture shaded", "wireframe", "Nvidia Iray", etc, etc), OR if you apply the shader for the first time in your Daz Studio Session, then the shader must be "calculated" by the render engine (this is not Iray uber). So, during something like 20 seconds on my computer when I swap from, for instance, texture shaded to Iray preview mode, then I have something Clay as you mention, but after that it is OK. It takes 20 seconds whether I use my video board or only my CPU. (for info : CPU = i7-4770K, and Video Nvidia 780Ti)
It is only that long when you swap from another preview mode to Iray. The good news is that, after that, if you simply move your figure or camera or adjust the shader, it just takes 1 to 2 seconds for the result to be displayed. I don't remember it behave like that before, so it works, but when you swap from another preview mode to Nvidia Iray preview mode, you have a time when you go "clay" before the shader is visible.
One thing I wanted to add, is that this behavior is not linked only to my shader. When, for instance, I apply Stephanie 6 material on V6, then it is rendering "white" during 15 seconds. Same when I loaded Mei Lin 7 in the scene, I had a Clay render during 17 seconds. If I swap from AoA to IrayUber shader I also have a 17 seconds Clay. So this seems to be a pretty general behavior.
I also just checked that if you change the tan preset or wetness preset, it also takes only around 1 second of clay before it is visible.
Can you tell me if it solved your issue ? I mean, that if you wait the "clay step", then the skin is properly displayed?
I had a deep look at wet and tanned skins in DS 4.9, and I wrote a patch in order to adjust all the skin tones to DS 49 (it was written on the time od DS4.8).
BEFORE this update, the tan options are really to translucent, this is not good.
This will be solved using new optimised translucency settings.
Now there will be an automatic detection of your Daz Studio version (invisible from the user side), and optimised scattering settings will be applied at the conversion moment (and kept all the way).
I post this in the top topic of this thread too. I should submit very soon the update.
Thanks V3Digitimes. Unfortunately, no matter how I long I wait, I still get just the gray clay look. The result is the same when I do a final render (i.e. a non-interactive render by hitting the Render button). However, I've realized the same issue applies to any custom iRay shader (i.e. anything other than "Iray Uber"), including shaders that come with DAZ Studio such as "Cast Iron.duf" and "Colored Flint Glass.duf". I've uninstalled and re-installed DAZ Studio, as well as "Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9", but all custom iRay shaders still appear gray (even "Colored Flint Glass.duf", which otherwise appears red in the viewport in Texture Shaded mode). So, at this point, I assume this is a DAZ Studio + iRay issue on my computer, and your product is only affected because it uses a custom iRay shader. I've contacted DAZ Support; I'll let you know if they come up with a solution. In the meanwhile, you mention a shader "calculation"; do you know of a manual way to force the shaders to be recalculated?
By the way, I've realized this issue only happens on my Windows PC. Your product (and other custom iRay shaders) work fine on my Mac. On the PC, the problem persists whether I use the CPU or GPU to render via iRay. (However, my fast GPU cards are installed on the PC, which is where I would like to use this product.)
Solved. The issue was related to MDL folders. I had added a custom mdl folder a long time ago using the MDL Directory Manager (accessible via the Shader Mixer's Edit menu); it looks like adding any custom folder there causes DAZ Studio to ignore the default mdl base folder, which then causes issues with custom iRay shaders (it's surprising that Iray Uber was working fine). I've added the default DAZ mdl folder to the MDL Directory Manager's list, and all the custom shaders seem to be working fine now, including the one in your product. Anyway, thanks for taking the opportunity to upgrade the product to 4.9.
Hello V3Digitimes!
A truly professional experience with the light helped to create a truly unparalleled product. Compare all the competitors — only the result of Your stunning product gives a beautiful result which has no equal.
Thank You for this gorgeous product!
But I have a question:
Beautiful static renders is nice, but I do the editing video insert 3D objects.
I.e. it looks like.
- I record the video.
- Then in After Effects (Ae) to do 3D Camera Tracking.
- Then export the trajectory of the camera from Ae to the Cinema 4D (C4D).
- Then in C4D to add 3D objects, 3D texts, Animations, 3D objects and lights
- Then import .c4d file 3D scene in Ae where it is combined with the video turns out cool video with augmented reality.
So, I have failed to do the export the .fbx model file from DAZ 4.9 (Windows10/Windows8| SKU 22723 | DAZ Order #104935714), so after you import it .fbx file in C4D, wet textures were imported as well. Imported only native texture without tan and wetness.
Tried to experiment with Shader Baker - but the texture was baked black.
Read Your PDF — You well done, well described, so that everything is clear even for beginners. But the answer to my question I found. I hope tell me how to solve this problem.

There we go! Here is my merman!
Nevermind, the attachment will not work. :( Will link it then soon. :)
Try again, sometimes it takes a couple of goes to get an attachment to work It could possibly be because the attachment was too large
Here we go, sorry about the spam:

Hi ardae, I'm gonna have a look this morning, but normally it is working on 4.9.
Last time I used it, using 4.9 and Iray, it worked, and it was last week (I'm preparing and advanced G3 version). I'm gonna re-try and I let you know.

Anyway, thanks for taking the opportunity to upgrade the product to 4.9.

So sorry, I meant G8. I've tried to use Wet & Tanned Skins on G8 and I get a note saying there are no G3 figures, please indicate a G3 figure.
