DIM problem

I had to change email address for my DAZ account.

How do I change email in DIM without it thinking I am trying to set up a new account?

It won't actually care, but to keep settings just crate a new account (with fake details, whatever is fastest to type), make it the active account, and choose Work offline. once the real account is no longer active you should be able to edit the email.
