Iray Material friendly renderers?

I keep running into Iray render engine limits that almost any other render engine can do.

Are their other render engines that can use Iray materials?

Yes I tried the conversion scripts (3Delight, Filament etc) and it just not working out.

Most render engines can't use shaders from a different engine without some kind of converter. You can try Diffeomorphic and try rendering your scenes in Blender Cycles. Keep in mind that no converter is perfect and there will likely always be shaders that need tweaking once converted.

What limits in the Iray render engine?

Numerous things, shadows & lighting are a definate pain.

I've tried the shader converters & other renderers but I end up spending more time than it saves.

Almost everything I use has Iray by default so I am exploring alternatives as Iray looks to be at a standstill development wise.

Start with this thread and see if it helps any with shadows, good explanations and setting you may need to change

without further explanation of your scene, render setting, daz studio version etc and without a picture its hard to assist.

daz studio Iray definitely casts shadows and lights in daz studio are not that complicated, and they work.
