    I see a lot of freebies listed in that orange panel at the top of the screen but nothing appears in DIM.

    I received the Banners as well for each of the four freebies along with the other ones mentioned such as the test message

    I don't want to install it until I use it. What happens if you need to move to a new hard drive or computer if it's not actually in your library? I'm planning an upgrade next month, so will it still be available for me to install then if I pick it up today?

    I guess I'm the only person that was ok with it being a glitch and not getting the freebies. LOL

    I knew most people wouldn't be tho.

    Me too. I own the hair already, but the other 3 are definitely not showing as free. I did notice that there is no date assigned to those 4 messages.

    If you look over on the Freebie #4 - Toon Dwayne 8 thread people seem to be fine with it.  When I saw the banner, I was all, "Oooh, freebie!" and then I closed it.  And then another one came up.  And I was all, "Ok, it's been a few days since I bought something, so why is DAZ throwing MORE stuff at me?" and then I closed it.  And then another one came up.  And I was all, "Probably a glitch..." and then I closed it.  And then another one came up.  And then I was all, "No more drinks for you tonight, DAZ!  I'm cutting you off."

    As something who's worked in retail for many years, you do have those customers who get excited at realizing they are getting something for free.  Even if it was at the mistake of the company.  None of the stuff I have, none of the stuff I really wanted.  If I get it, I get it.  If I don't, I don't.

    This is just a huge mistake, and I hope DAZ doesn't alienate any of it's customers from it.

    If I need to install DAZ Central to get any freebie - I'll always pass on it. DAZ origin content makes up maybe 50% of my library, so I am not going to stop manual installation for anything, and it seems DAZ Central can get flakey (if you're polite about it). On reading this forum for a few years, if someone has a content problem, it's in a ratio of (roughly) 95:5:0 with installation method DAZ Central:DIM: Manual Install. See why I'm not keen on pre-programmed help? Regards, Richard.

    Yeah, Daz Central is a "no go" for me as I never use the documents folder for content since my boot drive is only 240 GB (just to boot up the system, for the OS and other programme files.

    It wouldn't be a big deal for me except it's ALWAYS a glitch when it's something I actually want or could really use. Sigh

    It's a glitch, those messages are meant for new members, but someone has made an error and...

    Even if one was the intended new member, nothing would appear in either DIM or Central without one 'buying" (=claiming) the product first, after which the product would also be available in ones Product Library for manual downloads.

    Its like 2AM Eastern and I still have the banner. Incredible. "Your first freebie" could mean the first freebie of this new summer sale.

    A mildly embarassing glitch, but I'm beyond caring. These days I'd rather limit number of not necessarily necessary data on my discs, accidentally announced freebies or not.

    If you look at all messages there is also "Andy Test 1" and "Testing the HTML". Probably just that Andy was going to test this on their development site, but did it on production (live) instead. Give the guy some slack, mistakes happens.

    Doubt that we'll get them to be honest, what annoys me is that while I have removed the orange banners I still have the offers in my Alerts & Messages :/

    personally I don't care about those items, but if a message has been sent, then the promised things must give. Whether it was a mistake or not. Just an apology is bad behavior from the company.

    I just got an Testing The HTML orange banner, and guess what? Millarose is not in my DIM! Andy, Glitch Alert! Glitch Alert!

    It is a surprise if DAZ does not somehow screw up once every few days.
