    I know it's a glitch, but it's serving me some drama (customers are not at fault though!) it's actually amusing to a certain extent.

    I uninstalled DAZ Central after numerous install problems and went back to DIM. Also couldn't modify images associated with a product if it was installed with Central. That being said, after seeing the banner, i went to install Central and I can't find it anywhere. Links only take me to DIM. Are they abandoning Central or did they pull it to fix or release a new version? So, like th rest of you, no freebies.

    You mean really having those 4 items as freebies? Not now. It's a glitch. It's Dazland, if DAZ ceases to screw up you should really start to worry if there is something wrong

    This is Dazland, if one is offered a freebie, one must claim it by 'buying' it, then it will be available in ones Product Library and available for installation with all the installers - This one though is a glitch, the messages were sent by mistake.

    I got here through two other thread... like a breadcrumb trail... I've got no idea what's going on, but I'm sitting this one out... earlier I got (I think) Milrose or whatever banner with the weird instructions on how to download it, but it seemed kinda unnecessarily gimmicky, so I passed and now I have a banner for five dollars off... Eh... I'm good... but thanks... I don't even know if I should have got either of those, but either way I wasn't planning on any purchases today, so I just pass on the whole thing.

    Still got all freebie messages a html and the Andy one, still no freebies for me. I still think they should honor their misstake. And I got no coupons for 5 or 7 off or big deals.

    It worked on one cart but when I tried again, it didn't work anymore.

    I had it as an orange banner (got the email too, but I already used it up) and it said "today only", so that's what I assume if you want to stay on the safe side.

    I got the coupon to work 3 times, the Big Dealz one, got 3 parts of a 4 parts outfit, each at 4.19 so didn't get the full value, by my own choice, I prefer to get a freebie to a dicount on an item.  Thank you so much Daz for your kind gift, and for making up for your misstake w the banner if that was the reason, in any case I'm very happy to get that cool freebie outfit! heart

    Well couldnt get any of the so called free characters to work in either DIM or Daz Central, so that was a waste of my time.

    At least BIG-DEALZ seems to work.

    I wish they would test this stuff before making it live.

    Well, apparently the five dollars off coupon is gone now... I was wondering if it was all a dream, but then I looked in my account info and there are three other messages about nonexistent freebies and now I'm thinking DAZ was just messing with me because I'm easy to mess with... like that raccoon who keeps outsmarting me and stealing my ham sandwiches...

    But it's fine... I don't mind them testing out some wacky sales gimmick on me like I'm some sort of laboratory giraffe...

    Sending me banners for limited time items that are sadly unavailable...

    I didn't want that freebie anyway... especially now that I see there were three others too... I totally don't feel like I missed out... 

    I'm going to go eat some consolation pound cake and not cry...

    Okay... in case nobody noticed this... and I wouldn't have if there weren't a bunch of tears and pound cake crumbs on the screen of my iPad (I was using it as a tray... okay?)... 

    There is a stickied thread now explaining this was all a terrible mistake and no animals (except for a server hamster) were harmed in execution of this terrible misunderstanding/sales gimmick/whatever it was... essentially it explains:

    "Also of note, under "My Account" - Messages, you will still see these banners. Please disregard them.
    We apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you for your patience.    "

    Well, now I feel much better... I think what really helped was the part where they assumed I had patience and didn't throw my DAZ coffee mug out the window... it wasn't an official one, I just wrote DAZ on it with Sharpie... actually it was a knockoff Sharpie I got from a dollar store... I think it was a "Skerple" but it looked like a Sharpie... I guess they fooled me too... 

    Fool me once, shame on you...

    Fool me twice... that's not nice... three times that's pretty crappy of you... four times you are just being a jerk... six or seven times I feel like you are a serial fooler... Fifteen times, I probably should stop trusting you... 

    I feel after sixty or seventy times I might be somewhat easy to fool and that last one's probably on me...

    Whatever man... 

    I need more pound cake.

    My erroneous orange banners seem to have gone away.

    Anyway, there's no requirement in American law for a business to honor offers expressed through honest blundering (typographical errors, offering free stuff to your entire customer list instead of just new customers, etc).   Every week supermarkets are posting apologies for adverts with pricing errors.

    Easy for me to say, but it might be a nice gesture to bite the bullet and include the items in the next round of periodic "weekly" [ahem] freebies.
