Thank you for the link. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. But I am relieved to hear the news, because it means they died in the blink of an eye. Not a slow and gruesome death. That fact can bring a little peace to some. They said it was an ROV that found the debris. I wonder if it was the Victor 6000 the French robot.
Edit : Paul-Henry Nargeolet has ties with the US Navy and (indirectly) the Victor 6000. Read about Victor last night and saved some PDFs about this amazing little French robot, that could go 20k feet and had arms to attach cables and atttempt to assist in resurfacing the submersive. It's amazing with cameras that scan 20-30 feet and lights too. And sure enough, just discovered it was Victor 6000. Don't know of another that could pull that off. Paul Henry Nagelot was known as Mr. Titanic. He spent two decades in the French Navy and previously worked at Lfremer. Lfremer sent the Atalante ship with the robot as soon as the US Navy requested it..
At 2:10 on this video you can see the Victor 6000 robot. The video is James Cameron's response and very candid thoughts to the Titan tragedy but while he is talking the video shows some Victor 6000 footage.

James Cameron said,(at 7:53 into the video) that they would have been warned of the hull cracking because they had sensors on inside of the hull that would have forewarned it was starting to delaminate, and that it was known 'inside the community' that 'they had dropped their assent weights and were coming back up trying to manage an emergency'.
That's an impressive robot. Thanks for the update.
