Martin HD for Michael 8 - I'm sure there's an easy fix to this...but I'm not sure how. The posing process is extremely slow, I'll apply a pose (to Martin) and Daz just freezes for 15 -20 seconds before the pose is applied? It doesn't do this with the other figures I own...is there a setting I need to change?

The easiest thing I can think of is to deinstall Martin, Michael 8, and Daz Essentials and then reinstall them; I had this happen when I had some corruption.
Check the sub-D level on the character; if it loads with a high sub-D, that can make posing take some time.
This happened to me once when I used extensive LIE on a character and the number of high-res textures exploded.
