Help! G9 morphs not loading correctly...

...specifically with the new Cartoon Adult Female Character set (https://www.daz3d.com/cartoon-adult-female-character-hair-and-outfit-for-genesis-9).

Instead of getting the cute character in the preview pictures, I get someone who looks like the attached photo.

I've deleted and reinstalled the G9 Starter Essentials files, the Cartoon Adult Female Character files, and any other G9 files I thought might be connected. I don't have a whole bunch of G9 content yet, but I jumped at this Cartoon Adult set because it's in the style I've been working with.

Has anyone else come across something like this while working with G9?

I don't have that character. Start a new scene and then load a fresh G9 and see if it loads the default correctly. If not, then you have a morph that is active all the time

Yes, I have the same error, only on G9 figure bought on Daz.com tho, those form 3rd party don't seem have any problem at all, before load in the figure, I got a message saying something like "duplicated formula detected, making sure you installed G9 package correctly"(same message when I load in my G9 default figure) and then, the loaded figure only displayed as G9 default model without product's shape or MAT

I tried your method of uninstall/reinstall G9 package from smart content manager, once again not working.

The way to fix it is to download your produt's file manually, unpack it to your content fold, then, load the figure from content library instead of smart content. everything will work fine :D

I had some sort of glitch over here so I couldn't upload a sample image of what I'm experiencing. I'll load the character file but it looks as though none of the morphs load.

Oh, and I'm running DS 4.21 on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. Older, yes, but I've been doing fine until this error with G9 came up. Also for HD pace reasons, I have my G9 files on an external HD attached to my laptop. I mention this bc I wasn't sure if I would run into problems by not having the Starter Essentials on my main hard drive.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure why installing the files manually would help when all of the files seem to have been loaded fine by DIM. I also hadn't been getting the duplicate files error that you seem to have gotten. Do you have multiple installations across different Runtime folders? I ran into problems like that when I was beta-testing some products for a DAZ vendor,

I'm also a little confused about where I would manually install the files to. Should I overwrite the current files or should I install the files into a new Runtime folder?

I'll experiment with this an see what I find... Thanks for your input!

Thanks for your input. I'll have to see what's going on. Maybe there's a hidden parameter I'm missing.

I've been going through my G9 characters just to make sure the problems I'm having are unique to this character set. It turns out I have one other set where I've been having problems and put off asking about it. The Toon Heroes set (https://www.daz3d.com/toon-heroes-for-genesis-9) gives me the same problems where DS loads the textures and accessories (like eyebrows and such) but doesn't load the morphs. Again, I used DIM to delete the files and reinstall them, and I run into the same issues.

My other G9 figures all seem to load ok. Even the Young Anime Heroes set (https://www.daz3d.com/young-anime-heroes-for-genesis-9) loads fine without issue. Not sure what's going on...

    I did some more investigating...

I installed the Adult Cartoon Female Character set on my son's Windows PC, and it worked perfectly. I compared the character in scene on both the Windows PC and my Mac laptop.

I'm guessing it's a bad sign if both the Head and Body sliders that I see on the character on my son's PC are missing from the Mac install?

I put a Service Ticket in to DAZ. I'm hoping it's a quick fix.

Not saying that this is the issue, but a quick look at the file list shows filenames with spaces/caps, etc. I'm not a Mac person, but my understanding is that this can be problematic depending on your system config. May be worth checking out.

    HTH.

Because that's the most error proof way to making sure all files ended up in the right place, smart content manager is the buggiest, DIM usually works fine but when you have content library in different hard drive sometime it malfunction too. All your daz content purchased outside of Daz.com all require to be installed this way and I never ran into any error unless it's a defect product.

No, I only have one runtime folder for all my content directory, if smart content/DIM didn't install the product file correctly, using manual install will solve this problem, in case it did, the worst ever happen is to override the file
