    well I used one on Genesis 2 the other day but in that case one needs to use the heel correction

    Thank so so much for the info.

    Do I need animate lite or something else to actually use the animation poses in Daz Studio. Any tutorial links would truly be appreciated.

    New to animating in DazStudio.

    I did find how to serialize animate2. All is well.

    You buy the license https://www.daz3d.com/animate2

    and then

    you use the serial number you obtained from your daz account.

    Animate lite comes with Daz, so no cost and yes you can use it to use the aniblocks, I think the draw back is you can edit them, but I might be wrong on that. You do get Ani2 for free temporarily with Daz I think, unless they've changed that.

     What do you mean "I did find how to serialize animate2".  There's only one legitimate way to get a license for Ani2 and that's to buy the license here at Daz. A serial number from anywhere else is illegal.
