Daz Studio not opening saved scenes

This has been an issue over the past couple of days or so.  It can take me 5 or 6 tries to open a saved scene.  I either click on the icon in my Content folder or 'open recent' from the file menu.  All I get is a blank screen in the default Daz Studio grey, but with no grid - as if Iray preview were on.  (It isn't.)  The file name is displayed at the top, as if the scene were properly open.  Well, this is a new wrinkle.

Just today, after I deleted some geometries of a very big figure, I saw the similar thing in the Viewport :- the grid was gone all of a sudden and nothing could be seen, as if there's an invisible plane in front of my Perspective View... I Ctrl + Alt + LMB-ed for a while, then I found the "undeleted geometry" ... it just "jumped to the sky"...  I saved the scene file and the remaining geometry as an obj, then neither of them could be opened.  I've never seen such an issue before....

Viewport pane is open, yes, and I do eventually get in - having changed no settings.

It's bizarre.  When it opens as I described, I click on the icon or menu again.  When it offers to save the current scene I just decline. By the way - what's LMB???? :D

dragging Left Mouse Button laugh  BTW, can you see any figures, objects listed in Scene pane? And I'm not so sure... but you may try to take a look at the duf file by opening it with an Editor application (e.g. Notepad++, EmEditor...) ? See if there's anything strange...
