some deforce hair not attaching to gen 9 character

Any idea why this is happening? Only happens with some (not all) dforce hair on this particular custom character. Looks like the scalp part is fine but the rest of the hair is not attaching properly. I tried running the simulation and it looks the same after running. The same hair works fine on other chacters, generic gen 9, etc.

Hmm. Did it load in this way? The hair *should* be parented to that cap.

  • yeah this is how it loaded in.

  • That hair loads correctly for me, on a base Genesis 9, and follows various proportion adjustments that i tried without error.

Yes, it loads fine for me too on a base gen 9 as well. It's this particular character that is quite custom, textures made with facetransfer 2, etc.

  • Texturs won't matter, but shape will - especially if you haven't adjusted the rigging to the shape for a custom morph (but that would break posing too).

  • How do I adjust the rigging to the shape? I don't think my custom morphs make that much difference, most of my changes were just to the face andI certanily didn't change the overall height and other hair fits fine.

  • I am pretty sure I've used this hair on multiple FT2-created characters, but at this point, hadn't customized them greatly beyond initial creation. I can't test for the moment as my computer is at the shop for some maintenance.

apply the hair on base Gen9 then apply your morph and you would know if it's the morph

  • It seems to work ok if I parent the curly hair to the scalp. So that's a workaround.
