Just bought the bundle. But I do not understand the logic behind the condition "Please do not use this product for any other characters other than for Genesis 3 Male or Female figures" mentioned in the read me file. Does it mean that we cannot dial in any other character head/body shape or cannot use morphs added by any other characters?
You can use it for other characters in a personal capacity, but as a merchant resource you may not convert the skins to support other figures other than Genesis 3 and sell them in that manner.
Thanks for the clarification Zev0. I was under the impression that the usage terms prevented me from using this skin on any other Genesis 3 characters (such as Teen Josie 7) other than the default Genesis 3 character.
Grabbed this bundle as soon as it appeared, it even enabled the 10% discount on other stuff I had waiting in my shopping cart. Thanks a lot for this great resource!
Since I have Sloshwerks UV swap, I tried the male skin on the female. It looks fine to me. The only difference I really notice is that the male eyebrows are a little bushier.
My first quick tests (using 3DL.) Overall this is quite nice, but one thing that's in Skin Builder that wasn't included here was an assortment of freckles and moles.
Trying to go for a Teen Wolf style headshot with the glowing eyes (punched up in photoshop). This is also my first attempt at Iray. (I prefer Reality, but I have an Nvidia card until I finish building my new system, thought I'd give it a try.)
So, here are my first tests with the new skins. I have more kids that I've created other than these two, but I want to experiment with adding more unique details to the skins before working with the other kids. The only modifications I made was add a little color to the Base Color to make them a little unique. I really need to get more child friendly clothing for Genesis 3. Might have to model some now that I'm getting a little better at modeling clothes. If I do, I'll put them up in the Freebies section. Still have some things to figure out with rigging and packaging. Especially with the girls, even though they don't have breasts, most of the clothes I have still act like they do. Very frustrating. Love these skins! A very welcome addition to the Growing Up line. I don't remember seeing if it was asked, but will there be a MR skin for Genesis 2?
Another test using 3DL with the GU skins and morphs. I'm really impressed with how well the basic skin adapts to a wide variety of uses, and the eyebrow selection is just fantastic.
Here's another! The older girl is using the Kitana skin, but the younger is using the new Growing Up resource kit. Both models use Growing Up morphs and I think a few Shape Shift morphs to boot. Both also use some morphs from "200 Faces" to get the asian look down. Once again, huge thanks to Zev!

Thanks Cybersox and Bohor. Anyone else got recommendations for hairs - both male and female that would look nice (atleast not weird) with this skin and the youth morphs? Looking forward to leverage that extra 20% in today's sale. Thanks in advance.
That blonde shade looks nice in the outdoor setting. As a beginner, I also face the same issue with keeping braids and tails close to the body without clipping. 'Guess I have a lot to learn.
The general rule on kids haircuts is to remember that they're usually restricted to styles that their parents think they're responsible enough to maintain, and they're not always quite up to the task. Fortunately DAZ has a LOT of great styles that fit those parameters. For the sake of brevity, I'm sticking within a list of items that have been released post Genesis, but the ones that I use regularly for younger characters include:

Thanks Cybersox, that is some list. Here's an interesting one that I found - JoeyDucky Hairstyle. Haven't bought it yet but couldn't fail to notice the thinning density at the sides above the ears. Kind of having an authentic kids appeal to it. Also noticed that Rayn and Skyler bundles along with their hairs are also running on discount today. What do you say?

The only one of those I actually own is JoeyDucky. It's a great hair, but like many Gen 4 hairs it can be a bit tweaky getting it to fit some characters. On the other hand, it's one of the few hairs that works well for a balding character, so it's worth having in my book. As for the other two you mentioned, I can only infer from other 3D Universe character/clothes/hair sets that I do have. And while many of those are great for realistic renders (Jaycee, Ranger, November) others tend to range from slightly toony to total cartoon. Looking at the promos, the Skyler hair looks like a solid multipurpose hairpiece, but Rayn seems to lean more towards the toon end. They both come with great outfits, though, so if you're buying the bundle, the hair's a nice bonus.
I have the JoeyDucky hair as well, and I have not had any issue fitting it to any figure. This hair, like most of the rest of my gen 4 (and gen 3) hair props, I have converted into conforming hair, and then fit to each of the genesis figures. That way that fit very well no matter what shape I morph the figure into. Below I show the hair on G3M, naturally using the Growing up skin (and morphs) to keep the pic on topic.
I think I found a bug. When I apply the skin, the legs don't have an image in the Transmitted Color map field. The Torso, etc. does have the diffuse color image, and the missing image for the legs causes a subtle color difference between legs and torso in the render. This is particularly noticeable when using the Iray Smart Converter to modify settings.
Is this in the 3dl or Iray shader? And what product, male female youth or adult?
Sorry for the incomplete info. This is in the male youth skin for Iray. SKU 24375.
It is almost imperceptible in the base skin. Once I applied the Iray Smart Converter, I saw a noticeable issue. That is when I went back and applied the base skin to identify the issue. I saw the apparently missing map. Once I manually added the legs diffuse map and reapplied the Iray Smart Converter, it looked fine.

In the meantime, users can easily paste the legs diffuse map into the Transmitted Color channel and it works fine. Then just save a material preset for use the next time. It is no big crisis.

It can be used on any G3 character, or combo, like any other skin:)
Here's my vote of thanks. G3F with Galene hair. Sun Sky finite dome with default camera as SS Sun Node. Sorry, I am still a novice at rendering.
Great product. Thanks, a skin like this was missing in my toolbox. Here is a quick experiment.

Kinda creepy; just like you see in horror films. Nice job.
Thanks for your comment "nicstt". ;)

Which hair is that?

Yep. Cybele plus the Colors add-on and a little styling to pull it back from the face.

I used Birthday Girl Hair for Genesis 2 Female(s) here. It autofit pretty well, but the ribbon was somewhat distorted.
