Moving the IRAY shaders

I have most IRAY shaders in a seperate library.

I can't however find the installation files for Shader Presets > IRAY > DAZ Uber and MDL Examples.

Anyone let me know what they are called so I can uninstall and install to the library I want them in?

  • The files you are referring to are part of the "default light and shaders for daz studio 48"

    im00013176-42 dim product id.

Beyond that i can't tell ya where anything is installed on your system.

  • With the latest release of 4.9.1.30 they are in the package "Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9+" (13176). I have this as separate package in DIM.

Thanks, I know where all 20 plus libraries are. :)

Called Default Resources in my list (but that is 4.9 beta), same id number. Looks like no way of seperating the shaders via DIM; guess I'll do it manually.

    Appreciate the reply, thanks.

Well changing it has worked, hope it doesn't cause any issues with pre-existing items I've changed, well except for the script (custom action) which I've corrected.

Thanks for the info, haven't updated since last weekend, so hadn't seen the name change. At least the part number didn't change.

And the lack of customization is why i don't use dim except to check updates and download content.

    Installation remains manual for everything.

Doesn't help that my stuff is spread, intentionally, across 4 drives.

Yup backups are good. I have it on one drive, but set up to back up often. Serperate backups are kept, various places.

I like the DIM, when what it wants coincides with what I want - all is good and it is quicker; but often enough to be annoying, they don't.
