Created content thumbnail

Hi,

I'm finishing what will be my first product, buuut, I have a little question, is there no way other than picking a render or a screenshot with Iray shader on, to get a thumbnail of the product without the "accesory", "wardrobe"... thingies on top of them??

The content type tags are added by DS according to the CMS category, they aren't on the thumbnail. They will always be added for items sold via the Daz store; other stores don't usually include metadata in their products, though they could.

You could select a DS library folder, right click and select "Browse to folder location.." to gain access to the content's icon without the file type tags. Note: My DAZ Content is install via DAZ Connect, so I had to find a sample in the Poser format library.

Yes, thanks, the icons are there without tags, but dunno how to force them to be like that while browsing inside Daz, I think that could look nicer without the tag.

Damn, I've already tried to use another icon, to rename it from .duf.png to .png only to check if the smart content tags are stored there with no avail, I still see the tags on everything. So if it is linked to the category that I chose when saving it, I dont know how to fix that.

You just need to remove the filetype designation from the files if you really don't want them using the Content DB Editor.

Browse to the folder containing your product and launch the Content DB Editor from the Pane Options (the white square with lines), see photo.  Select one or more files in the upper window and go to the Type: drop down and select <None>. Click Accept to remove the file type designation.

To prevent assigning file types in the future when you save the support asset, pose, material, etc... and are shown the Save Options screen, uncheck the "Set Content Type:" in the Metadata: section.

PS:  Your product won't have the file type designations if you don't include metadata scripts for them to add metadata to your product on their system.

As I said, if you are planning to sell itt hrough Daz the type (and tags) will be there as all Daz content will have metadata added. For a tore item, or even a freebie, it's best to design the thumbnails with the tags born in mind.

Hmmm, ok, I think that I've understood this well, so, having in mind that I've learned how to get clean icons, but it will be sold at the shop at Daz site (at least is what I think), I'll keep the tags. I just keep learning more ar more cheeky
