Make movie files of Image Series

Hi, I have just started doing short animation and in the beginning, I did renders to movie files but I’m thinking to switch Image Series to not lose all render time if the program crash.

Can anyone recommend a program that can make the Image Series to movie files?

I’m using Windows 10 x64 edition….

Blender will do this.  Also, if you're comfortable with command line software, ffmpeg can.

I use Magix (Sony) Vegas Pro, which is expensive.

(Edit) I notice they have a cut down version here. I don't know how good it is though as I use the Pro version.

Windows Movie Maker can do it, I think, I've never used it. It isn't being supported any more but it is still available for download.

I'm using Vegas Movie STudio, which is the "little brother of the Vegas which Fishtales is using, and that works fine even if you don't buy the newest version. It's also a good video editing software, so if you want to add titles, music and whatver, it's a reasonably priced option. They do have a trial version, too, if you want to test it out.

The newest version is currently at sale for $34. http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-movie-studio

  • OpenShot will handle an image series and it has a version for Windows.  I'm not that familiar with it, but I'm using it for my latest animation attempt.  I'm using the Linux version.  It's open source and it's a free download.  It looks pretty good so far with lots of editing options and effects.
