Make clothing form around an object?

So I have a character I am working on, for the scene he is supposed to have a gun in the waistband of his pants.  But.. how do I get the pants to conform to the gun so it looks realistic?

  • Conforming doesn't work that way. Try using a D-Former to pull a chunk of the trousers outwards. Note that this will need some adjustment — shrink and adjust the D-Former Field to a squashed oval, and move it to cover the gun, then try moving the "mushroom" to pull on the trousers material. Rinse and repeat (you will need to try lots of times) until it looks more or less like what you want.

  • You can create a morph target.
