in the beginning I didn't know all what I would need so I downloaded most every free item offered but now it's cluttering up my memory and I deleted some from teh install but now its showing up in the downloads and cluttering that up. Is there anyway to permanently delete the products I don't want anymore?

In DIM, you can hide them. I don't know about Connect, but I think there's also a "Hide this item" function.
IN DIM or Connect? In DIM, in the Ready to Download tab right-click and select Hide>Hide Product Name.
