Unable to Copy?

Reaching out to see if anyone has had a similar problem and how to possibly solve it. I have two animation groups each with different objects. One is completely original (model and skeleton created by me in CP8.5) and the other a purchased model (Pigeon/Dove). I am unable to copy or duplicate either one in a scene (options grayed out in menu and Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V not working).
Other objects in the same scene seem to be performing normally.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Rigged figures don't allow copy or duplicate. You can either drag them to the browser and back again, or I have a "Duplicate" command in "Posing Pack 3": http://www.daz3d.com/posing-pack-3
