Iray video tutorials?

Could someone please recommend me Iray video tutorials from n00b to advanced level?

I am not a big fan of the "IRAY: start here" thread, because all the DAZ info is flying around like pieces of a puzzle. Is there a standard manual instead of all the spread info?

If you have experience with Reality/LuxRender it shouldn't be that hard. I got these done in less than a week after DAZ Studio 4.8 was released:

Although, aside from Mec4D, and a few others, I really haven't seen great photo-real renders done with iRay.

Sickleyield has put up a number of tutorial videos on her YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/SickleYield/videos). They're well worth watching.

Well, I hate to say it but I ended up getting Dreamlight's Iray tutorials and I was able to get right to it after watching them.  I now LOVE Iray and don't want to go back to 3delight!

I don't really want to buy Dreamlight stuff in order to understand the program that I love. I spent a lot into models and plugins. I dont' want to rely on outsourced tutorials.

All I want is a usermanual for iRay and not Dreamlight stuff. (I am not talking bad about Dreamlight though). It's just that I want DAZ to update their documentation to be unified instead of having tons of outddates videos all over the website instead of one main source of information.

What sort of level are these Dreamlight tutorials aimed at? I've been looking at getting http://www.daz3d.com/super-quick-easy-ds-iray-tricks but I can't decide if its just going to be a load of basic stuff that I already know about Iray, like how to control the sun, or set up a photometric light... I'm more interested in how to take my basic Iray knowledge and take it up a notch to produce promo-quality images.

Does this tutorial really teach you how to "get beautiful DAZ Studio 4.8 Iray renders" like a pro, or does it just teach you how to get started with all the features?

I'm concerned I'll spend all that money just to find out that it teaches me nothing new...

I bought the Super Quick & Easy DS Iray Tricks.  I would say that this is really a basic tutorial.  He does go into detail as to what each item in the rendering pane does.  That was very helpful.  And he gave a really helpful tip about the sun dial and being able to move the sun around that I hadn't seen anywhere else.  For me, it was well worth the money.

  • This was the article that got me using the sun dial in Iray:
