[Looking for asset] Basic, featureless, rigged humanoid for Daz 4.5

Hi there!

After spending a ridiculous time looking, I'm humbly asking for your help in finding a basic, featureless, DAZ rigged humanoid model. I do a lot of visual for Saudi market, hence it cannot have any features even remotely considered nudity. This: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3ds-max-generic-male-base-mesh/744199 Would be a perfect reference. It doesn't have to be free, just clean, simple and poseable in DAZ.

Any ideas? Thanks for any possible help

Well the grid mesh you could just make a map and stick it in all the diffuse slots.

The base genesis (1) figure is sort of androgynous putty looking.

Yes, but it has facial features, a defined groin and toes at its feet. All I need is basically a neat looking manequin.
    Anybody?

Your best bet is to morph Genesis. Anyone with a decent modeler and a little patience should be able to do that without a whole lot of issues. A quick pass in ZBrush or Mudbox with a flattening tool would serve, or the sculpting tools in Maya LT.

Yep, that was my guess.  GoZ for the win! Thank you guys for your advice, but still, keep an eye peeled for some basic humanoid model, will ya?
On a second thought, maybe youve seen a collection of human figures for architectural viz's? Basic, clothed human figures? Any for of info appreciated and again, doesn't have to be free.

    Peace!

  • if you remove the textures from the DAZ base figures, you should have pretty much what you need.  If all you need is the male, the figure has no genitals.  If you need to use the female, she can be used without nipples and the genital area, again, is not defined.  If all you're doing is visualizations, you can just use clothing or textures or no textures at all, again, if all you need is mannequins.

    Have a look at Predatron's lo-res figures.

    Much more than that... http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=lorez

The biggest issue with any figure outside of DS is the rigging. I have imported lots of FBX and collada figures into DS and none of them had working rigging due to the proprietary way DS does rigging, so your best bet is starting with a DAZ figure or rig it yourself.

If you don't mind going from basic and featureless to toon, there are these options:

    https://www.daz3d.com/blank-boi

  • they said archviz, so toons don't work for that.

Thanks a lot guys! Really appreciate your help.
I'm very surprised that there's nothing as generic as that out there! Spent hours looking as I'm pretty clueless on how to righ stuff in DAZ...

Thanks a lot for your effort and please, try keeping your eyes peeled for some of that stuff. It might be pretty helpful at times.

    Peace!

there isn't a huge demand for stuff that generic, probably why you don't see a lot of it. best bet as others have said is the base genesis figure which is neutered.

I would think the lorez figures should do the trick otherwise.
