I've been persusing the Daz libraries for a while, but haven't found any shorts/underwear/loincloth-ish looking clothing that matches what Herc/NIgel Green is wearing here:

It's kinda a combination jock strap/bikini/wrap/diaper-ish thingie, with the knot tails dangling over/hiding the crotch a bit if my description here makes any sense (see linked pic above, that's the best screen cap that I've found on Google).

I already have several belt options I can use, I'm focusing on the shorts here.  They can look more stylish than in the pic above, but this is the general design I"m looking for.

Any suggestions r.e. Daz products or freebies?  Or a combination that approximates this?

I think I would try https://www.daz3d.com/mighty-minotaur-6-outfit-and-morphs  or https://www.daz3d.com/fw-jason; they both autofit well and some judicious trans texture could give you what you want with a belt.
