I require better hair

Got this character, 'n his hair isn't right...
i guess it's the wrong shape? Idk, and plus, I pair him with another guy who has the exact same hair so it often looks kind of odd.
I mean it's not the same color but idk, I need new hair.
so, without further ado, some pics; i.e, what i am using now, and the hair i need.

    can the front be shortened so that it isnt' sticking out so far?

    Here's a longer/shorter for comparison. This is the shortest I could get the front. I also used the morph to hide this rogue front strand thing it's got going on. This is the Genesis version, but I'd assume the M4 version would work the same way.

    Wait, no, found an adj_front that did the trick. You can also go for a receding hairline look by putting Adjust_FrontOut to the negative with Adjust_Front in the positive.

    hmm..i'm not quite sure if this is the right hair, though. it's a little...curly? but i suppose it could work.

    I want a specific type of hair for this one character, and someone suggested Wild Mane, but it's just too fuzzy and curly for what I need, and I was wondering if I could tone that down?

    I asked about it elsewhere to people who knew the character and they said 'almost' but it was too fuzz.

    AGAIN I will attach the image of the hair I need.

    I am currently using Leandro Hair and it's just not good enough imo...

    I tried Daryl hair I think it was called? But it didn't look good.

    After years and years of searching I found that I had this hair the whole time called Jai hair and I think it's kinda accurate for this character?
    So I have posted some images...I want opinions. If it's good enough I will buy new textures for it. I think they're here on this site...
    I mean it doesn't need to be perfect but I think it is is better than what I HAD.

    his face still isn't perfect but he's getting there.
    getting there slowly....
    anyway yeah...
