Newbie Zombie help

Howdy folks,

I need to make a horde of zombies. At quick glance, it seems as though most of the zombies I've found in the market don't provide much variety (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

In other words, I need to make a bunch of zombies that all look different from each other.

I'm mostly concerned about making different faces.

Any advice on where I should start?

You can change the faces of characters if you have morphs installed.
Changing the skin is a different matter.
Take this one, for example: http://www.daz3d.com/zombie-for-genesis-and-m4 provides a skin, while
    http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-evolution-morph-bundle
allows you to change the body via the "shape" section of Daz Studio.

If you already have a Zombie skin, and different characters you own, I would recommend using it on these characters (if they are compatible, of course).
You can also use the "diffuse colour" on the skin in the surface tab, and give each of the zombies a different basic hue.
Then, clothes make a huge difference, too.
http://www.daz3d.com/hybrid-grunge-bundle-for-daz-studio allows you to make a mess out of clothing, and it also gives you a way of adding details to your Zombie skins.

I have to try and find it but somewhere there is a morph for zombie. That means you can set the character to the way you want them to look when they were still alive, then dial in the amount of zombie you want.

Just as an fyi, http://www.daz3d.com/zombie-graveyard-bundle is currently a freebie.

Also, if you're intent on creating a zombie "horde," you might also consider Lorenzo Lorez, which contains a few low-poly zombie morphs.

Presumably you could use them for background filler, thereby conserving your memory for more detailed featured zombies and also helping to speed up your final render.

This has all been tremendously helpful.

    Thanks for all the suggestions
