FBX export to C4D skinning error

edited December 2014 in Daz Studio Discussion

Hi,

I´m having some skinning issues when exporting fbx to C4D.
Everything looks ok in Daz but when I export it to C4D, not so good at all. Same issue if I export dynamic cloths as obj+mdd.

Anybody facing the same problem?
There´s some magic skinning going on in Daz, I want to bring it into C4D, haha :)..
No really, how can I fix this???

I´m new to building characters and this is my first wwek in Daz.

Any kind of help would be appreciated, thanks.

Some, at least, of those errors will be the limitation of the FBX format (and possibly of C4D) - FBX supports only one weight map per bone, instead of separate weight maps for each axis as in DS. That can have a significant effect on some joints - you can preview the effect in DS by using Edit>Figure>Rigging>Convert to General Weightmap. I'm not sure what is happening with the projection - it looks like a bone avatar made real, does it render?

Ok, yepp. That´s the problem. Guess I have to make my own rigg someday. Thanks for the reply.
