The next step to photorealism

Hello, I would like some advice on what the next steps i need to improve the photorealism of my render.

I think i done the most i can with the model, skin, lights and pose. But i feel like its just missing one more thing.

Anyone know what i need to do?

Thanks

  • Lighs and a good texture are everything!

Try differente angle of lights, or even kind of light.
A good skin texture, poser and expressio will help you to reach the result you are looking for.

In a complex scene like yours, DOF with a blurring effect in background and focus on your character, will bring you a sense of realism also.

One thing that jumps out to me, the HDRI looks too large. The scale makes it look like she is child sized. Also it looks very low resolution, DOF might help that part.

  • Thank you for the advice. Actually i created just the model and the stool. I found this background image online and layered it in the back with photoshop.

I rendered the model using HDRI lights and skin i used from Death Stranding Mama Character. I didn't use any other lights. Should i?

When you said Poser do you mean Pose?
